I splurged and had a piece of lenon poppyseed loaf from starbucks. So had to do up a low cal but filling meal under 250 calories. Lol. Damn starbucks.
Thin egg noodles with homemade pasta sauce, bit of shredded mozza and some fresh young carrots and beans that I boiled.
Oh and threw some siracha sauce on there.

I was pleased to see that Superstore now sells small bottles of fish sauce. I have never used one up (just tossed it after a length of time in the cupboard)...but how do you know if it's gone bad when it smells like dirty socks even when it's fresh?
We had our first green beans from the garden today, along with grilled ribeye, baked potatoes, mushrooms and garlic bread.

Last night I bbq'd some of the most AMAZING burgers I have ever had. We picked up some Hormone & Steroid Free - Dry Aged freshly ground beef (they grind fresh each day) for $3.99/LB here: http://www.hopcottmeats.ca/ Man I have never eaten beef that tasted so good. Since I bought the 10lb pack I will be cooking some and freezing it and freezing the raw stuff too.

For supper, I made homemade pizzas - with baked ham and ground beef. Oh, I'm full; they were great!

Yesterday was the actual wedding and they served stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, veggies and a gravy. It was delicious! and amazing how they served 300 people so quickly and kept everything hot (the kitchen is so tiny!) and chocolate brownie cheesecake for dessert (my fav.) It has been endless food for many days now, so today will be something simple for supper. I don't know what yet but prob just something in the oven i.e. wings as its raining and too cold to bbq!(maybe someone will be kind enough to send in dinner/leftovers--LOL)

I redeemed 2 of those silly FPC Old El Paso Dinner Kits and was giving the kits to DS, but he declined saying he likely would not cook the burger to go with them, soooooo, I cooked up one kit , all the toppings are there! Happy brunch sleepy heads that are not up yet!

DS and I just came from the Canada Games Centre Pool. It's hot, and although it's early, we made a spontaneous decision to get a sub there from Subway. DH is out tonight, so we're on our own. We'll likely need some more food later, but we'll worry about that later!
I am brining a whole chicken that I will cook later, either on the grill or in my little countertop oven rotisserie. That countertop oven has been great for the summer - we bought it last year when our oven unexpectedly died and we didn't know if we were going to have to replace the whole range. Fortunately it was just an element and easy to fix. But the little oven doesn't heat up the whole house.
