hubby picked up happy meals for our girls and i picked up subways for the adults, used their coupon buy a footlong and a drink (any size) and get a second footlong for $0.99. The subway close to our place is the most generous when it comes to the meat they put in the subs.

Tonight we will be Roasting a whole chicken and then I need to decide what we are having on the side, either Mashed Potatoes or Roasted Sweet Potatoes and then for the Veggie we can either have Roasted Asparagus or Zucchini.
-
More than likely we'll be cleaning up leftovers from the fridge tonight......so basa steaks, shrimp fried rice, last weeks remaining burgers/sausage but we had a serious discussion over next week's meals.
That came about because DH was insisting on heading out to WM to " grab something " for Monday's dinner.
Slowly.....very slowly he came to understand what I've been trying to do by using what meat/frozen sides/prepped meals we already have IN the freezer(s) and creating menus from that.
Here's to best laid plans and all of that.....welcome March!!
Monday: either fully formed cabbage rolls OR messy/lazy cabbage, depends on my mood.
Tuesday: a cooked whole ham and boxed stuffing, boiled carrots
Wednesday: my homemade perogies
Thursday: Shepherd's pie ( seems like forever since I've made one up )
Friday: Air fryer whole roasted chicken, coleslaw, air fryer potato wedges
-
Tonight we will be making Cabane a Sucre meal (Sugar Shack); French Canadian Pea Soup, baked ham, beans in molasses, eggs, potatoes, oreilles de Cris, crepes, and marinades. The soup is from Habitant, ham is from Metro on sale this week, beans are Clarks, oreilles de Cris i bought the other day. The rest is homemade. Oh yes and of course home made Maple Syrup.

I decided on cabbage rolls but had filling leftover. Chopped up the rest of the head of cabbage that was too small to make rolls from, mixed with filling....Hmmm so guess I made both versions.

Making Chicken Tetrazini for dinner as per youngest DS's request!
Will make extra so he can have for leftovers tomorrow night.
-
I always get fantastic ideas from everyone who posts here. Chicken Tetrazine is hubby's signature dish. He wont let me make it. And im ok with that. And i love bacon and eggs anytime, not just for breakfast. And we love anything that goes with Baguettes, no matter what! Hubby says Spinach puts hair on your chest but i love it anyway. Steak and Frites, what can i say. And we all love cabbage rolls! I love seeing your posts for dinner.
Tonight we are having an easy supper. Im making Greek potatoes in the air fryer with Chicken Languettes (the kind they use at St Hubert Restaurants) with mixed vegies and salad. My daughter recently got me 4 Kilos of chicken languettes a la St Hubert from the Olymel outlet for $14. Great deal and they are fantastic.

I must agree with you
@SnowFlakey
I can come on this thread NOT hungry at all, read over the posts and before I know it I'm digging through the supplies in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to see if I have all the ingredients to make something I've seen here. Great place to hang out though! Everyone so generously shares their recipes.

Trying a new recipe tonight - Garlic Butter Chicken, Potatoes & Carrots in the slow cooker, easy simple one pot meal, but I am thinking I might make a Salad on the side just for the pop of something.
Some of the comments on the recipe said they found it lacked seasoning so I will add more and additional spices our household likes but I mean really how can you go wrong with but Butter and Garlic.
-
Either a chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes swiss cheese and mayo or a chicken salad with avocados since I have some chicken and veggies to use up
-
-
since we have not been able to go for dim sum for over a year now, i decided to recreate some dim sum dishes: pan fried pork and veggies dumplings, deep fried tofu and oyster sauce for dipping, deep fried shrimp wontons and mayo sauce for dipping, then soft and fluffy condensed milk bread.
-
easy dinner tonight. Hubby wants leftover ham onion and yellow pepper omlette and im having fried egg and ham. And Oze Bagels.
-
yep, simple here too. Dinner tonight is:
Sliced up one of those honey hams, made both instant mashed and Stove Top up, added steamed green beans.
Barely broke a sweat....
