The soup was very good, hit the spot (although I forgot to buy corn for it). Not a lot of leftovers though, and I'm disappointed I hadn't gotten around to making my own black/red beans from dried in the crockpot, had to use canned.

I advised you to eat something. Hungry and exercise will make you weakness and even unhealthy.

Actually, it's an awesome double-dipping deal - with Colonel's Club card, it's 20% off a Bucket/Feast (last day), plus they have a holiday special for everyone to get a $10 KFC gift card and $20 Shutterfly when you buy a feast.
Does it have a discount today?

Our 2yr old son shared a really bad cold with me. He got it from a younger child at daycare whose parents still haven't taken to the doctor after having a cough for 2 weeks. I currently have two different pots of hamburger soup simmering on the stove because dh doesn't really like tomato based soups. I also bought a bag of lemons and have been drinking hot lemon and honey throughout the day. Here's hoping LO sleeps through the night, he has been up 5 out of the last 6 nights.

1st pot: ground beef, onion, celery, carrot, pearl barley, seasonings
2nd pot: ground beef, onion, celery, carrot, quinoa, diced tomato, can of kernel corn (59c clearance at Sobeys today), seasonings

That particular Colonel Club discount is over, but the one with the $10 and $20 gift cards is still on.

Tonight for supper, potatoes are baking, will have with leftover chicken, coleslaw and corn.

I have a turkey breast in the slow cooker (p/u for $6.00) season ,drizzle with butter and cook on high setting for 2 hours and then low for the remaining 5-6+ hours (this will crisp the skin) (I also layer the bottom of the slow cooker with onion) will prob make a clubhouse with it later, and leftovers for lunch sandwiches for the next couple of days.
