taste of the danforth for me
M&M jumbo chicken wings (they are SO good), oven fries, huge salad.
Veggie burger and grilled zucchini and peppers and peaches for afters. mmmm
At a million degrees outside plus the humidity, and no a/c - no cooking for me.
Brought in Chinese food, which always lasts us for two suppers, so no cooking tomorrow either. Yay!
hmm we haven't even had dinner yet, mom wanted to go out and have hamburgers and now apparently we aren't lol... which is fine with me fast food makes me feel so sick but I also love it. we are now having something with ground beef lol I want meatballs!
We had a great bbq at our friends place. Baked Brie with pepper jelly and crackers for an appy along with salmon, steaks, salad, rice, garlic bread, and a nectarine cooler followed by coconut cream pie and coffee for dessert :P
First day of vacation, so we're either spending the whole day in Kingston with friends (in which case does anybody have any recommendations for food?), or we're spending the day in downtown Montreal (in which case we're going for all you can eat sushi @ Komiko).
Or brunch in Kingston & supper in Montreal :)
How about fish 'n chips (oops, or what's left of them!) from "Go Fish" fish 'n chips shack near Granville Island?
The fish comes straight off the boats nearby so it would have still been swimming a few hours before I ate it! :P

Wow, mcminsen - that would be cool to have such fresh fish!
I'm a Kingstonian, and I can recommend the food at Tango (more of a bar at night, but I think Mondays are slow most places). It's on Wellington Street just between Princess and Brock. Menu emphasis is on tapas. Wooden Heads on Ontario Street (wood-fired pizzas and to die for coconut shrimp). Saigon Delight downtown has good food in a casual atmosphere. Out of the downtown core, The Greek Islands on Bath Road has really good food, and quite reasonable prices. If you want to tell me your likes and price range, I'm sure I could recommend somewhere for you. Eating out is one of my favourite activities! Cooking is a very close second.
Tonight were having sauerkraut with double smoked sausages!
Well, in the end we didn't go to Kingston (we were both exhausted from a weekend of renovating to deal with any drive longer than 30 mins), but we made up for it by having date night at Komiko Sushi (in Montreal on St-Denis).
Tofurkey sandwich on ancient grain bread with veganaise, mustard and lettuce. Too hot to cook or eat. Blech
a turkey club wrap :)
Salad and eggs.
GF rice pasta with my moms homemade award winning meat sauce YUMMERS!
making homemade hamburgers
tonight will be beef stroganoff made with PC angus meatballs and the mushroom soup I got at SDM last night ;) with a side salad :P
I made beef stroganoff last night and it was delicious. There's plenty left over which is great because we're going to the movies tonight and I won't have to worry about making a quick meal. :)
Change of plans.
Tonight was WW pasta with meat sauce with loads of veggies like squash, broc, and cherry tomatoes :P I also used ground turkey instead of beef and had a HUGE side salad with Blue Jay peppers :P

Last night just two of us, so I fried up some diced ham, added leftover noodles and a tomato sauce, served with scrambled eggs.
last night was breaded veggie cutlets, wild rice & sweet carrots.

Today we were out and about all day and while we were across the line we finally went to 5 Guys burgers and fries.
WOW!!! They make the BIGGEST burgers ever :tongue9: and for under $5 :top:
Delissio - just because.
we had nachos with ground beef, lots of cheese (chedder and havarti), guacamole, sour cream and salsa I also sprinkled some chicken taco sesasoning on top of it before I baked them and they were delicious.
We made beer-basted pork ribs last night, but by the time they finished cooking it was nearly 11h00! So ribs tonight with sides of pattypan squash, green salad, and green tea lemonade.
Most people take vacation to travel; I take vacation to cook :)
