Dessert was the real fun last night! I made up 4 really large goblets ( kind like the funny wine glass that can hold a bottle of wine ), but I filled them with trifle. The layers looked so purdy! Used some kirsch drizzled on the cake sections, placed whole pecans on the whipped cream layers, which was an experiment ( and it worked well ). Fruit cocktail, mandarin sections, cherry pie filling and custard throughout and coconut and Skor bits sprinkled on the very top. Mmmmm.

I just put a large bison roast in the oven. I'll add a couple of onions to it later. Maybe boil some carrots and potatoes. I might make some banoc or biscuits to go with it. We had lots of fresh veggies and fruit at lunch.

Bummer, thought of a roast, but went with something different...

Smothered porkchops, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, sweetlet peas.

I've never made those chops for our son, I know he'll love them so I made lots.

Went to DD for a early dinner they are off to Punta Cana early tomorrow morning, she made open faced hamburger sandwiches with fries and cheesy broccoli. No dessert so we will probably have a ice cream sandwich later.

Stopped on the way home for fresh buns

Left over roast beef on a bun.

The meat slicer we bought a few years ago is great for getting meat slices nice and thin to create layer of meat instead a big hunks. (I'm not sure that makes sense)
