user-id, that's an awesome pic!
Well, I have a tale of woe about my homemade chicken soup - which I made for supper Saturday, and it was a huge potful, so there was a lot left. For Sunday lunch, I took the pot out of the fridge to reheat a bowl. After I ate, I went to put the pot back in the fridge, and one of the handles of the dutch oven 'turned', and KABOOM went the pot of soup down to the floor - ALL of it.... I felt like crying! My husband heard it, came in with a towel for me to clean up, then HE cleaned up the mess....
I was so not impressed that this happened....
Anyway, supper Sunday was Wendy's - our once a year purchase there, lol. I had a little burger and a baked potato.

Tonight all my lonely....steak fajitas with the leftovers!
I decided to cook tonight, so the boys and I are having salmon patties with lemon/dill mayo, boiled spuds, boiled beets, and fried mushrooms...for some reason we tend to eat more veggies when DH isn't home.
Last night was shrimp caeser salad...tonight is going to be an oriental rice and veggie bowl with miso-chipotle sauce...I can't wait.
We are all on different schedules when it comes to actually eating, but I cook many things up in big batches, then when each person's meal time comes, they just heat up a plate. Or in DH case takes it to work.
I've pre made stuffed vegetables ( pm me if you need to know what I mean)
sweet and sour sliced pork
pork fried rice
2 roasted chickens, with gravy ( had lots of drippings, couldn't waste)
ginger, maple syrup glazed carrots
mince meat tarts
We graze more now that the kids are grown. Weekends are really the only chance to sit together but we make it work, like many other families have to.
pizza tonight... gonna make cabbage rolls tomorrow. fingers crossed they turn out
I very much like reading this thread for ideas.
Today I made Chinese Ribs (my mom's 1, 2, 3, 4) plus rice and peas.
The chinese ribs are so easy: 1 Tbsp sugar, 2 vinegar, 3 water, 4 soy sauce. Plus a star anise and I added some bamboo. Cook covered on stovetop for 1 hour (make sure it doesn't dry out). Stir occasionally. mmm.
Last night, plans changed, so I ended up making funeral hashbrowns, but I tried something different and it totally worked - I added frozen mixed veggies, a can of mushrooms, and some diced pork loin - and wowsers, was it ever a good casserole! Will definitely make that again!
Tonight, no clue yet, lol!
Everyone's meals sound SO good!
spagetti and garlic bread today
