What's For Dinner?

I've sort of picked at leftovers all day. There were enough cooked protein options there, just had to add my Caesar salad and the steamed snow peas.

Cooked up some food to take to my Mum's today. Cheese biscuits, BBQ chicken with fried taties and peas and some homemade pizza. For breakfast she had some kind of blintzes her Russian cleaning lady makes for her and freezes. We also picked up a chicken pot pie at Costco for her-she just loves those and one large serves her 6 meals-which is pretty good for $10.99.

Despite the lousy cold, rainy-ish day on Saturday we fired up the BBQ to cook homemade burgers and a pkg. of All Beef hot dogs. DH made a pasta/tuna salad to go with. Earlier I had made up a taco/nacho/cheesy 5 layer dip topped with a slew of colourful diced veggies, but we decided to save that for today.

Cool day so had chicken breasts ,mashed poatoes and steamed carrots .I made blueberry muffins to go with our coffee and tea.

I went out for lunch so just having a bowl of cereal tonight. Brought home half my lunch for hubby.

It's time for a batch of chicken adobo! It's simmering now and DH made the rice up for me. We'll eat when game 1 of the Stanley Cup series starts!!

Picked up some take out aloo gobi-yum. Then for the game!

What a game so far! I nearly flipped my plate of food screaming at the tv! That bloody Bennet!! Every goalie's nightmare!

Tonight we had leftover BBQ chicken with sliced veggies and a fruit salad-nice simple meal on a warm day.

Salmon steak won out again! Side was sauteed onions and mushrooms with a small romaine/veggie salad.

Homemade chili and a bagged salad I picked up on Flash Food for .99 cents.

I cleaned up the last serving of the homemade chx soup along with a medium Caesar salad and 2 small bites of the meatloaf I made for the guys.
Just wanted to see how it turned out. Mmmmm. The guys had the meatloaf with a pasta salad that DH made, he put tuna in it too!
None of us were all that hungry after a late night restaurant meal while watching the Oilers lose!

Tonight is homemade burgers with Ceasar salad (cleaning out the fridge and using up what we have on hand)
Buns are in the freezer- I was sent home with them- new package from Costco-Brother in Law bought too much and didn't have room in their freezer lucky us

lol^^^ @Frugalbigmama I swear I never read your post until after I had mixed all my burger meat up and formed the patties. Coincidentally we're also doing the burgers on ( the BBQ ) . Our buns were frozen solid but they've thawed nicely and they'll be toasted anyways. Tossing a pkg.of the All Beef wieners on the grill too. I'll make an individual Caesar for myself while the guys will finish up DH's cold pasta salad.
We'll all dig into a few oversized stuffed mushrooms. The filling this time is diced Honey Garlic sausage meat blended with cream cheese, herbs, minced garlic, red pepper flakes with lots of grated cheddar on the tops.

Tonight we " may " open that bottle of wine we passed on last night.
