Greece meets Mexico! Tonight we're having vegetarian burritos and a greek salad. Weird combo, but I'm excited nonetheless. This is my first time making veggie burritos. Hope they turn out ok :)
BBQed sirloin steak (yay, Sobey's sale!), baked potatoes, salad with Greek dressing and lots of feta.
Big steaks, asparagus, mushroom & onions and garlic baby potatos :)
Right now I am chowing down on a baked tater and a frosty since I just came from the dentist :(
As for dinner....???? Maybe DH will have to fend for himself ;)
Sesame chicken, some sort of pork, noodles, and broccoli.
I only have to make enough for 4 work days this week!
So far I have made 3 loaves of home made bread, a roastpan of chili with cheese biscuits ( a-la-Bisquick), shrimp/veggie stir fry with fresh ginger( lots) and garlic with steamed rice, and eggplant Parmesan.
Can't decide what else just yet.
I'm taking it easy. Ritz Cracker Crust Quiche, Garden Salad & Peach Crisp

I did years ago and everyone was fooled, I never said a word just served it.
Mind you they were my own offspring and they were starving at the time. :lolsign:
We went out for the Husky breakfast with coupons, $3.99 each.
I think Im going to order chinese tonight, really not in the mood to cook!!
Unless someone wants to invite me over???
I wish the grocery fairy would visit me & fill my fridge so I had something yummy to make for dinner(working all weekend)...but tonight...it'll likely be PB on waffles with fresh berries :)
We're heading up 4 floors to have dinner with our friends. We usually do it a couple of times a week. Share the cooking responsibilities and the cost and have a great times.
Tonight is jerk chicken for the meat eaters, veggie burger for me (summer staple), roasted potatoes, zucchini and corn. I just whipped up a bunch of flavoured butters too (chili lime, smoked paprika, pesto, garlic chive, dill).
Skillet cookies and ice cream for dessert!
Come on down Miss April, we'll feed ya :D
DH is out motorbiking with a buddy of his... I didnt feel like cooking for myself... I had some pork chops in the fridge marinating, cooked one of those and had salad with it...

However I tired one of the spicy Italian sausage sandwiches from pizza pizza today. Wow pretty big and tasty. Added the mozza cheese for extra .75cents.

That looks pretty good, easy enough to make from home too!
I'm currently making chicken kickers! I kind of just went in blindly, hope they turn out yummy! Does anyone know how to toss breaded chicken into a sauce without making the breading too soggy? Any special tricks?
Last night was spaghetti, with sauteed onions, mushrooms, garlic sausage, and corn in tomato sauce.
Tonight's dinner will be stir-fried chicken and veggies served over white rice :)
I'll accompany this with a salad...
I'm trying to get back into menu-planning...wish me luck!
Have chicken breast taken out..not sure maybe a stir fry or butter chicken
Mashed potatoe's and hamburgers with carmelized onions [personally I have more onions on my plate than anything else lmao]
BBQ hamburgers and mexican bean salad. Protein overload! LOL.
BBQ burgers - first time trying the PC thick and juicy - taste okay, really fatty (lots of fire!), and kinda fell apart. We'll go back to Co-op ones or the ones from a local butcher!
Tonight will be yesterday's leftovers. Piggies in a blanket (made from Yves veggie sausages and Pilsbury crescent rolls), stewed cabbage/onion/tomato, kidney beans, salad. Yummmmm.
I have to run some errands later this afternoon, which means, my fave, eggs for supper! I am trying to decide between poached eggs and garlic toast and egg quesadillas. both are quick and easy and are a big hit around here.
Hubby's off to play bridge, so Wednesdays are always 'easy dinner' nights..
Today:
roast beef in a slow cooker, with 1 can of Coke and 1 bottle of Diane Sauce.
We shredded the beef, I thickened the sauce on the stove, then we had open-face hot beef sammies.
I'm stuffed.
A little tiny pot roast in the slow cooker & homemade mac & cheese. I hope someone makes a nice salad.
Tonight is roasted taters tossed with bbq'd zuchinni(fresh from MIL's garden), chives, parsley, green onions (all from MIL's garden) and evoo and S&P.
I am going to attempt to grill some tofu and veggie kabobs using a spice packet I got at SDM for $1.99 (skewers included)
DH used up some of his lettuce and tomatoes from out back. Still had plenty of things premade so just added the salad.
