Tonight's dinner was Gnocchi and sauce with garlic toast. It was the perfect comfort food for me!

Ah, can't wait for supper tonight! First steaks of the season to barbecue! (finally could afford some...).
Interesting story about the steaks though - t-bones on sale at Sobey's, husband went to buy 3, came home and showed them to me - and wow, every millimetre of the tenderloin was cut out - so they are basically strip steaks with a bone. I wrote to Sobey's to complain...
My son has never had a t-bone, so this was supposed to be a special treat, and here they aren't 'real' t-bones after all! However, they look yummy.
For the meal, keeping it simple with the seasonings on the meat, fried mushrooms, baked potato. That's it.
Hamburgers on the BBQ, barring a thunderstorm.
Had corn and hamburgers on the BBQ! See above post.
turkey!!
Shake n Bake ranch chicken with buttered garlic mashed potatoes.
Just sitting down for a t-bone late birthday a la two supper with corn, boccocini basil tomato salad, mushrooms with caramelized sweet onions and elephant garlic, along with pumpernickel bread with spinach dip spread and for dessert, giant cream cheese cupcakes. Can't wait.... Yum yum!
Lasagna and garlic bread
Cheerios. With sugar.
ceasar salad, corn on the cob ( 24 cents each at sobeys!) chicken, and garlic bread!! and one year old wedding cake for dessert!! we had a little bit last night.... and it actually tastes good!!!!!thought it would be all dry and nasty!
Lasagne tonight!!! Yummers!
Spaghetti with Greek meat sauce.
Awesome!
peameal bacon, sausage, scrabbled cheesy eggs and toast, also fresh veggies and dip.
nic - I had to google peameal bacon - I've heard the name before but never knew what it was, never tried it. Now I know what it is - cured, but not smoked.
Tonight I'm making homemade pizza - ham ('real"), pepperoni, salami, onion, mushrooms, pineapple (on a few, DH doesn't like). I'll make double the usual, since my son likes it cold for brekkie, and to take for lunch.
Slooow roasted pork back ribs. They were such a deal a couple of months ago at No Frills ($2.99/lb.!!) but I gotta make room in the freezer for some more wild blackberries.
Ah, my son would LOVE your blackberries! I don't know why he has such an affinity for them!
Chicken thighs are marinating in honey-garlic right now, so I'll roast those along with potatoes and carrots, served with a salad.
Last night was Healthy Harvest Whole Wheat Pasta(75c a box at SDM W/coupon!!) with peas, crumbled bacon, cherry tomatoes(steamed in sauce until they "pop"), sauteed onions in white wine and a bit of cream and shredded basil. YUMERS!!
Last night was homade lasagne (MIL) and some Indian food (again MIL) I can't remeber what it was called but it was yummy! She is the best chef ever! Oh and she made creme caramel for dessert ;)
Roast beast sammies with au jus, mountains of fried onion (that counts as a veggie, right?), and leftover saskatoon PIE for dessert...lol!
I have declared this BOX week at my house becasue if we don't start eating some of this frozen food I have been buying my freezer will explode.
McCain Roasted Chicken Pizza tonight.
Curried tofu with green beans and pistachios over brown rice tonight.

Wow that tofu looks yummy Kittypaws!
Tonight I am going to make some chicken balls with rice & spring rolls. I have a craving for them & I have some veggies that are waiting to be used. Can't wait for supper!
Gee, blackpup, can I come over? Sounds great!
I'm making Ukrainian toast and sausage. Breakfast for supper!
TJ's pizza. Honey garlic and chicken, teriyaki chicken, and bbq chicken. Just had it for lunch. Left-overs for supper. Possibly boiled swisschard to go with it.
leftover roast beef cut in to thck slices and slowly cooked in oven with left over gravy, probably some baked potatoes and steamed broccoli with cheese.
Come on over Natalka, we"ll watch y&r. I love breakfast for supper!
I am having supper for $1 - for 4 of us plus enough that I will not have to cook a meal tomorow!!! SDM .75 cent pasta (def. will have to get back there for more....) zuchini from the garden, onion from the garden and tomato from the store .....kids keep stealing the ripe ones!!!
I have to add that along with the roast beef i made i ended up making beet soup aswell. Since i have soo many beets thought i would try the soup since for some reason we never have and oh boy was it ever good. So now along with making tonnes of pickled beets i have to make soup for the freezer.
Tonight is Sneaky Spaghetti...sneaky because I am cramming as many veggies as possible into the sauce: onions, celery, mushrooms, carrots, zuchinni, and cauliflower! With whole wheat spaghetti, and garlic cheese toast to go along side.
Yum
I'll be by in about an hour, kay Robyn? :)
