    Good gosh, what a smorg!

Last night it was so fargin' hot that we had bbq burgers and potato salad. Burgers were interesting - bought from a local butcher, 1/3 patties, and they were actually quite spicy, but tasty.

If I finish reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" today while I am at work (it has been a slow day so far) I was thinking about rewarding myself with a DQ georgia mud fudge blizzard tonight. (FYI I am teaching a grade 11 English class for the first time this fall and I never read "To Kill a Mockingbird" when I was in school.)

hmm it is canada day but we're not going out to celebrate - too many other things to do. We're thinking of getting a bucket of KFC. It has been ages since we have KFC. Oh I LOVE their gravy. We'll fix corn on cobs too.

Spanish Rice and Chicken tonight (Thurs.), already made so thank goodness for micros!

Friday - DH is home while I do volunteer work at the soup kitchen ... so its ... whatever is in the fridge ROFL

Think I'll marinate a tiny cheap roast for a couple of days in the fridge then slow cooker for sandwiches
... apparently we have now left the rainy season (yeah) and we're been brutually tossed into the hotter than 7734 season!

So let's me do some supper planning while Im heere .... Lunches on weekend are always ... whatever you find in the fridge!

Saturday - Hot dogs with salad
    Sunday - Salmon Sandwiches
    Monday - Beef sandwiches
Tuesday - Beef stripes in the salad
Wednesday - basa fish maybe some homemade fries (dh really likes those! ... to many carbs for me!)
Thursday - Homemade breaded chicken wings done on Foreman

    and we're back to Friday.

Dh has enough lunches for work made to get thru next week, and I did enough breakfast wraps in the freezer for him for the next 3 work weeks (he's on his own for weekend breakfasts! ... hey don't feel sorry for him, I clean up after and do all the dishes! ;( lol)

Canadiangirl ... its sort of what you like

DH is pretty much the same, but certainly do variations - its what you like

Everything goes into the wrap cooked ...... meat and veggies are diced small

scrambled egg (you don't want them "wet")

Meats choice of hamburger (pork or beef), bacon, leftover ham or ham from the store
(great for leftovers or those little bits that aren't enough for a meal but you really don't want to toss)

Veggies (dh likes lots) so I dry fry finely diced - onion, red pepper, little celery, mushroom, broccoli florets

Seasonings - DH loves mexican so he adds Taco seasoning, I like a little mild salsa

Slice of cheese slice but I prefer really shredded cheddar

(again its what you like, what you have and what you can afford)

Have fun, give it a try, let me know, I am always looking for new ways to make food.

Oh after filling has cooled and been mixed together - not pretty sight! lol , I fill the wrap, put the cheese on top of filling and wrap tightly.

Wrap the breakfast wrap in plastic and freeze. DH usually takes out of freezer and leaves in fridge over night then micros, but I have seen him take straight out the freezer and micro
Oh yeah, he micros on defrost till it is warm and doesn't feel frozen, I could tell you how long but our micro is dying and not very good

Oh yes, you leave the plastic on to micro ... I just found that you need to pull the "seam" away before heating because once heated that seams disappears and is a pain to open

    enjoy
