What I have been wanting for days. One of my home made nacho dishes. Fried hamburger with onions, cellery, frozen tomatoes (I did up last summer), some spices, possibly cream corn. I bake bite sized nacho chips in the oven with grated marble cheese. Have all this with sour cream and salsa. We'll have to see if the baby likes it. Haven't made it in a few months.
tonight was hamburger helper with lots of veggies, and ovenfresh bread. lemon jello with coolwhip for dessert

Smokey broiled ribs with roasted garlic asparagus, fresh corn bread and a salad topped with tangerine slices, caramelized onions and homemade salty and spiced candied walnuts! Fed a family of 4 adults for about $15. Everybody was happy and it was so good!
home made Big Macs
Smokies, Potato salad, and Broccoli.:)
fresh 3 cheese pasta with sauce. Meh. It was ok.
I'm going to make some homemade chicken nuggets and honey garlic sauce. I've never made the sauce before and I'm just winging it so I hope it goes ok!
Perogies with mushrooms, onions, and sour cream.
Wow, no one else cooked today, lol!
I didn't make anything wonderful, since we had a late lunch.
Sauteed some ground pork, made a mushroom sauce to go with it, mixed in leftover pasta. Ahem, it was mega-garlicky, but good!
Oh Nat, ^^ I have caught DH's nasty cold/sore throat. I still got up to cook this a.m. though as I don't want to face the week ahead with nothing pre made.
2 slabs of ribs are slow cooking as I type, the extra large pot of chili is done, and I made DD the home made version of one of her favourites, lemon chicken. I am actually getting better at the making of the batter, ( just cornstarch, egg, any carbonated pop ( sprite, gingerale etc, clear one) and baking powder.
The deep frying is the tricky part I find, that oil has to be just the right temp to allow time for the chunk of meat to cook inside before the batter browns up. I am learning, lol!!
Homemade lemon sauce is so simple, why did I ever buy take out eh?
Happy mealtimes all!!
Last night we made home made pizza (I did use a frozen store bought crust though). One half was BBQ chicken and the other half was ham. It was really good, the only thing was I never use frozen crusts so I didn't cook it right I think, as the edges were super crispy but the middle was a bit under cooked...
Tonight I'm making something with ham but I don't know what yet lol
Tonight will be back ribs - definitely a treat! Co-op has Maple Leaf ones on sale, and for the two-slab pack it was just over $10. Will be getting a few more packs to freeze!
I'm boiling them now (will use broth for soup Tuesday), and will roast them later in a homemade bbq sauce; roasted potatoes; salad with any veggies I can find in the fridge.
Tonight is a easy Supper. :) Homemade beef barley soup (Had some frozen), sliced ham and vegs. on a bun and Pumkin Pie with whipping cream for dessert. ( Picked up French Fries and Chix. Nuggets yesterday at M&Ms for the free pie. Added whipped cream they had on special for .99 and brought my total to 9.98. The nice young lady at the till said close enough and gave me the pie. Super nice there.:)
Well today i didn't know what to cook so I decided to try my skill at baking on the Big Green Egg BBQ. My wife wanted me to try apple pancake which I did! I top it with a sprinkle of icing sugar!

Shake n Bake chicken thighs and boobies with broccoli and uncle bens bistro rice!
Sundried tomato pesto with brown rice pasta. One of my favourite dishes!
Brother made us dinner, a Filet Mignon Roast.
Best. Roast. EVER. I'm not a huge meat eater, and that I ate - quite a bit of!
My bf's mum made a Sunday dinner for everyone tonight!
Homemade gril;ed burgers, chicken wings, roasted potatoes and salad. YUM.
Thanks! :flowers:
I picked up two chicken nuggets, too - and the shepherd's pie, which we haven't tried.
Ended up not having the ribs last night, because I wasn't feeling well and by the time I got out of bed it was too late to finish them up for supper, so we had pork souvlaki burgers instead (from our local butcher, and I make them in the oven). They were awesome.
So I've already made the ribs this morning - and gosh, it's hard to not keep picking the edges off a few to taste, lol! I made a garlicky, peppery, sticky sauce for them and they are SO good!
Just waiting for them to cool, to put in the fridge, then will char a bit before serving for supper, with some sort of taters and a salad.
sweet sausage
yellow potato
rapini
Macoroni in tomatoe juice and ground beef!
Chicken Cacciatore, Pasta and a Tossed salad.:)

We wanted healthy, fast food.
We were able to use everything in the house.
