cab, loved that episode!
leftover chilli, some cauliflower soup, leftover burger patties and split-pea type curried lentil.
Gave the little bit of leftovers to dh (it was a lot, but he eats a lot) and supplemented it with an Amy's brocolli and cheese pot pie and frozen veggies - yum. I think even the carnivores would like this Amy's pie.

Soy marinated steaks with steamed corn and garlic rapini :)
Winner winner roasted dinner - layers of carrots, onions, and potatoes sprinkled with oil and onion soup mix, topped with seasoned pork loin chops - simple but oh, so delish!
We are going to have meatloaf, scalloped potatoes and corn on the cob..
meatloaf on the crockpot and probably some kind of side kicks since we are both working from 5-7 (it's just for two weeks to help out bf's mother but by the time we get home and eat we have about 1 hour to relax before he goes to work and I go to bed lol).
yesterday was roast beef, potatoes, carrots and gravy also in the crock pot
DH is away tonight, so I'm left to cook my favourite: fried egg and mushroom quesadillas with a baked sweet potato on the side. It doesn't sound like much, but is soooo awesome!
We're having Swanson TV dinners--courtesy of Food Basics' 1/2 price sale this week. lol.
Normally, I wouldn't ever buy the pre-packaged crap, but my kids think these are a "treat." They yelped like they'd hit pay dirt when I told them.
Hubby away....gonna have chips and dip....

Tonight I had bbq chicken thighs and lasagna, lol. :)
I made corned beef hash. We haven't had that in awhile. I had some leftover in the freeze from about 3 weeks ago and decided to use it up. Corned beef hash to me is one of those comfort foods that just feels good when you eat it. All those fried onions, chunks of potato, a bit of peppers and lots of corned beef hash. I love to get a good crust on it, then top it with a bit of cheese and melt in under the broiler for just a second. It was sooooooo good.
mmm that corned beef and hash reminds me of my mom.. i can smell it now. last night was hamburgers and chicken burgers on the BBQ. tonight i think it's gonna be sweet and sour turkey meatballs, mashed potatoes and broccoli.
nom nom nom. We're having corned beef, cabbage, and carrots. There'll be mashed potatoes too if I ever get around to peeling them. lol. I swear I was Irish in my previous life. I just freakin' LOVE corned beef. :P
DH loves corned beef too. There will be few leftovers by the time DH is done with his midnight nibbling. He'll just keep going to the fridge all night, tearing off a hunk of meat here and there, and by morning, it'll magically be gone.
my famous ritz cracker crust onion quiche & cream of cauliflower soup.
Tonight was quick, I made a couple of the cardinal select burger patties from no frills on sale this week. I served that with mashed potatoes. I needed to kinda get out of the way quick as my cousin was making tons of chicken wings for a big party tonight(i'm not invited to,lol)
we are on page 666.........
lol. I noticed that too. Hmmm....Should I be lookin' over my shoulder tonight? Maybe sayin' an extra prayer or somethin'? LOL
Chicken cook with Stubb's sweet heat BBQ sauce on my BBQ

I also did a review of the sauce which can be found here http://hrmcreativebbq.blogspot.ca/20...ce-review.html
We had pork chops, a Knorr rice side dish and grilled veggies done in the oven with apple juice (fresh mushrooms, carrots, red and green peppers)....it was so good!
i made myself this ultimate vegetarian pasta, it contained:
whole wheat rotini, basil tomato sauce, tofu, chick peas, rapini, spinach, carrots (shredded) broccoli slaw, feta, and some random spices.
it was probably the best pasta i have ever eaten. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
tonight I made a pork cutlet, I purchased a pork loin at costco a few weeks ago (well my dd got it for me), I had cut it into some chops and 2 roasts. This morning I took 5 chops, pounded them thin, tenderized them with the meat mallet (which by the way is great therapy :) ) and seasoned them with garlic powder, paprika and my special cajun spice mix. I let them sit all day in the fridge, then tonight I put them in egg, then potatoe flakes, then fried them. Served them with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus with garlic butter and I made a chicken gravy for the cutlets and the spuds, mmmmm delish..... :)
Lasagna, garlic bread & salad
Last night was - finally! - barbecued steak (been cravin' it and finally there were some good cuts on sale), homemade potato wedges, corn.
Tonight we are having BBQ'd sausage on a bun with Ziggy's Potato Salad...lol
We never eat Ziggy's in the winter but for some reason once the weather gets nice we start to buy it again until the fall.
