Last night was Olymel honey garlic chicken chunks (just okay), gnocchi, and a big Caesar salad.
I'm bushed! Finished stuffing the turkey and he went in the oven at 7:00 a.m. but before that happened I peeled, prepped 1 huge butternut, 2 large acorn squash, and 5 large sweet taters. OMG! the brown sugar/cinnamon and butter were slathered about! Did up the mashed too, the green beans, carrots, oh and roasted the beets differently with some diced fresh ginger and raspberry vinaigrette. Roasted 2 turkey necks for the dogs, used the drippings to roast small teeny white potatoes, will roast the rest with the big bird.
Baked the Farmer's Apple pie ahead too. I just hate sweating and juggling for oven space when everyone is here, this way most of it gets warmed up and good to go.
I cut up all that fresh fruit and veg too and they look very colourful in the trio style trays. ok everyone, very soon we are chowing down!

ha ha I forgot I also cooked those 3 Cornish hens on the BBQ and sliced up the ham ( that ham slicing was so tough, lol)
After reading all that Walkonby I'm just heading out for breakie ;) lol I wanna stay FAR away from the kitchen :)

I am on a fast... Only since 6pm last night:( Still got a few more days:(
Started my 300mg green tea extract capsule today
for breakfast - did a whole grain cracker thing 1 piece
lunch did a chicken chipolte soup from longos
let's see if this green tea extract actually works, if taken daily.
Turkey is in the oven, stuffing in the slow cooker, turnip needs peeling and cooking, potatoes likewise, sweet potatoe needs reheating, salad needs prepping, dessert is arriving with my MIL, brocolli is arriving with DD, gravy needs prepping, and I am on SC!!!!
dinner was a mung bean pancake with kimchi
and yoghurt granola bar for dessert.
Thanksgiving supper today. Turkey and all the fixings. I made three pies: apple, pecan and pumpkin. I had the pecan....Need...nap...now...
oh, marstec.... droool! Looks awesome, especially the pie - and that stuffing?
Last night we had the M&M Meat Shop's Oriental Party Pak - SO very good, along with vermicelli rice noodles.
Later today - turkey dinner! Can't wait!
I am making a curries cauliflower and chickpeas stew. I am pretty excited about it. I'll let you all know how it turns out.
alicia, ^^^ that sounds very healthy? Are you ok?
:lolsign:
LOL, my eating habits are legendary huh :) I just figured it is going to cost me about $4 to make and it seems hearty and cozy, so I'll give it a shot. Plus I was thinking about that cauliflower soup from the WW thread, but I am scared my blender won't handle it and I'll end up with lumpy soup :)
Leftovers for dinner tonight.
:) :) :) :)
Rachel & Ricky are still sleeping it off.

I just finished cleaning out our chest freezer and organizing it.
I have apple rhubarb crisp in the oven. I also have fish and chips in the oven (last box from the freezer). I have fish and chips on the grocery list for this week at Sobeys to get the bonus points, I am using my FPCs on it so it'll be an even better deal.
Done work at 7am and then a week off. Tuesday around 11am I'll do laundry and order lunch from pizza pizza, probably wont order any pizza though go figure lol. Think I'll order a sandwich and some chicken bites. ;)
Dinner probably some janes chicken and veggies.
Had a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner - sure wish I would have remembered to take a pic!
Turkey (I've only made several, so I'm always a little worried, but it turned out fab); stuffing, gravy, smashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, corn, cranberry sauce - and the hit of the meal was cabbage rolls I made with bacon - they were crazy good!
Hm... I'm pretty sure tonight is leftovers...
So much turkey over the past 3 days I`m looking like a turkey
I swear all I've done is eat over the past 3 days. At my nephew's wedding on Saturday they served turkey and roast beef. I outsmarted myself by eating only the beef, knowing that I would eat turkey in a couple days. ;)
We went to a buffet restaurant in the USA with my in-laws for Thanksgiving on Sunday...and I stuck to the Chinese food portion-- spicy asian chicken and stir fry pork...so I wouldn't be sick of turkey.
Had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's yesterday with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, garlic bread and many desserts (of which the apple pie was THE best part...oh, and my sister's awesome homemade pickled beets. OMG. Could eat an entire jar of just those!)
So tonight we are having our own kinda-sorta Thanksgiving dinner at home with just our two kiddies with a honey-mustard glazed ham, scalloped potatoes, squash, steamed broccoli, and a red cabbage salad. Think we'd better skip the dessert. We've had enough dessert in the past little while to make those early morning runs a little bit painful. ;)
Turkey last weekend from a wedding, turkey sunday from Thanksgiving dinner, leftover turkey sandwich yesterday and I was going to have leftover turkey poutine tonight, but I didn't have any gravy left. And I don't have fries, only hashbrowns. I'm just gonna make a mixture of hashbrowns, turkey, bacon & cheese and see how it turns out. :)
for lunch i did - cereal, whole grain organic flat bread, piece of low fat home baked cake, couple slices of oranges and 1/2 pastromi sand on olive bread.
for dinner- i'm going to do left-over chinese.
pizza
need a turkey leftover break
I pan fried the leftover fingerling potatoes, steak, bacon and onions with a generous splash ;) of hot sauce and toast on the side :P
Gotta use up the food before we leave.
