My mood, right now! Supper may just have to be takeout.
tonight was scrambled eggs, ham slices from the letover ham yesterday and toast.
Fish and chips
Last night was Caesar salad, baked cod, and scrambled eggs. Odd combo which was yummy!
Tonight I am making a crockpot beef roast with onions, potatoes, and carrots. Maybe some homemade gravy if I can make it unlumpy lol.
Oh boy. Such great ideas on here. Having "breakfast for supper" can be so much fun but we don't do it because of the funny looks I get from DH. He thinks Shrove Tuesday and pancakes for supper is absolutely the most absurd thing he's ever heard of. So I only ever do "breakfast for supper" on that one night.
The fish and chips sounds SO good. I think I might be a copy cat tonight. ;)
Since the night before was meatloaf and taters last night I made meatloaf pizzas :P
I made reg ones for us and a GF crusted on for my brother.
It was really good. Caramilzes onions, mushrooms, meatloaf and cheese :P. We also had some chili nacho cheese kinda hot dip that my SIL made using some spices from Epicurious, smoked salmon with lemon whipped cream cheese and capers and I made chocolate chip ice cream sammys using GF cookies :P
Tonight was pork souvlaki with radiatore pasta.
i had a gallbladder attack last night so i had a nice big bowl of steamed white rice while the girls and dh enjoyed some tacos.
I had my gallbladder removed a long time ago after I had 5 gall stones stuck..Waiting list was like 6 months but doctor didn't want to wait too long. So he scheduled the procedure as the 1 thing he did the day he went on vacation lol. So instead of a 6 month wait was 6 days. ;)
Gee, I hope you are feeling better today....
Am roasting some chicken pieces right now (so evil to have that wonderful smell so early in the morning!). Will cut meat off, add to leftover pasta, add some sauteed veggies and maybe make a sauce of some sort to tie everything together.
The actual cooking for this week coming did not start till 3:00 a.m. but I had to come and sit down around 8:30 a.m.
So far for DD and myself I have made 8 cabbage rolls, 8 stuffed peppers, shrimp fried rice again! ( I used 5 cups of dry rice and loaded it up again with the fresh veg ), ground turkey chili powder style for her wraps. Will get DD to do the wrap fillings (grating, chopping etc.)
Made DH and DS 2 deep dish meat/potato/veg pies (made with the leftover prime rib meat), a sausage/potato casserole, 12 " man size " homemade beef burgers ( hopefully e-coli FREE! lol) and 1 lovely $5.50 chicken from Freshco made a huge pot of soup for us all... with onion, potato, carrot, and cabbage. The guys are getting accustomed to the no salt taste I think.
Still have to saute that bag of cod fillets. I am tired. lol
BBQ burgs tonight - tis a loverly sunny day
i was supposed to have it out end of august but i didnt have anyone to watch my kids for the 2 weeks that was recommended (no lifting and stuff) not to mention all the pre-op appointments that are required down here.
tonight i'm trying 1 of these new club house seasoning things - lemon tyme.. going on a pork loin and roasting it in the oven, mashed potatoes and maybe some carrots.
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ie_monster.jpg rolled date and chocolate cookies yummy.
I have an amazing roast in the slow cooker now with potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic and some other spice stuff ;)
Pork loin chops and noodle casserole dish;
cook pork loin chops until almost cooked (a little pink but not too much)
1/2 jar of Paul Newman's Tomato sauce (basil)
choice of noodles (2 1/2 cups pre-cooked pasta al-dante)
1 c. mozarella cheese or whatever you prefer
1 can of Aylmer Accents
salt & pepper
On stovetop put some olive oil in frying pan, add garlic, add can of Aylmer Accents, simmer for 5 minutes then add noodles, toss and then add 1/2 jar of tomato sauce, transfer 3/4 of this into (non-buttered) casserole dish then put a layer of your pork chops, then add the remaining noodles on top and salt & pepper and add cheese, cook in oven for 1/2 hour at 350.
Enjoy!

Hubby cooking tonightYay!!Mashed spuds.carrots & parsnips & fish with apple pie to follow:)
I made dry garlic ribs, rice, garlic toast and carrots from the garden. The grilled zucchini was left over from yesterday's supper, when we had steak and oven wedges.
Wow marstec, yours are absolutely tempting~~~~~~~~ Mine is Barbecue, also tasty...
Yeah I was pretty much right back to work because I couldn't afford not to be there. But they made sure I didn't have to lift anything heavy and everything was already up from the storage rooms that I needed for work. Previously they had given me a month off with pay to rest so I couldn't complain really. ;)
I made French Onion soup with French bread and cheese melted on top. DH always loves it.
Taking the roast and turning it into a stew. Easy.
Leftovers..blah!
i was kinda busy this afternoon so i just made a frozen pizza and caesar salad, sometimes those easy nights are nice :)
Turkey tacos - mine guacamole no turkey:)
And lots of watermelon:)
