we were gonna go out for dinner tonight for my birthday but my kids were coo-coo nuts-o so that would have been more frustrating than anything..instead DH picked up some chinese food :) so nice since we really never order it. we had won ton soup, egg rolls, soo guy with almonds, chicken fried rice, veg lo mein and my FAV, steamed tofu with peppers, mushrooms, baby corn and a black bean sauce. ok im the only 1 that likes the tofu but thats fine by me!!
tonight i had 1 cup of soup and 1 cup of cottage cheese and a glass of wine.
kids had hot dogs.
i wish that they would develop at taste for real food because i miss cooking so much.
I did a baked spaghetti to use my leftover homemade sauce and made some garlic /rosemary/cheese buscuits to go with that and a side salad. For dessert I surprised DH with peanut butter cupcakes (yellow cake mix with peanut butter chipits :P)
Tomorrow I will make him some granola with almonds, cranberries, flax and mini chocolate chips :)
forgot to add pics

I was really tired by the time we got home yesterday in the late afternoon, so I fried up some gluten free perogies I had tucked away in the freezer (when I make perogies, I always make tons and freeze them in small batches, enough for a meal for us) for us. I fried up some bacon, onions and brown butter to serve with them.
Woo Hoo!What a great party. It was an American in Canada Thanks giving party & grey cup combined. We had 2 turkeys, one spicy one cooked on the BBQ.Which was delicious.& the other one cooked in the oven. Both were nice & juicy.Jamalaya stuffing made by a New Yorker which was very tasty, several lasanga, canolonni & pasta dishes, scratch gravy made from the turkey drippings, grits, garlic mashed potatos to die for.Stuffed peppers with bacon around them.Very hot nearly burnt my mouth off but everyone else said they were good! Also lots of home made desserts & plenty on booze!Have bit of a achy head next day lol!
tonight i'm going to make a staple for us - baked penne with sausages, mushrooms peppers, oninons and garlic. dd1 will just have some penne with butter and parm cheese (hates tomato sauce), maybe some garlic bread on the side if i can get to the grocery store before school's out.
We are having butter chicken tonight :P It's marinating as we speak :P:P:P:P
and I am making sme granola and chicken stock too :)
last night was whatever you can cook yourselves night, i was rushing around looking for parts of my uniform, putting hair up and what not for work, by the time i got that all done i had half hour to get ready lol, so my dd cooked chicken fingers and fries for her and ds. i had a handful of crackers on my way out the door.

yesterday was pork chops with left over pasta salad
and tonight is DS birthday so homemade pizza & birthday cake!
Tomorrow unsure (lol)
still cheating on my diet so the sky is the limit tonight!!! Might nibble leftover roast beef, or might just devour that container of hummus.
Ok so tonight was:
Rice (Thanks Harbie!)
Courgette Curry
French beans and corn(curried!) - well ok, the recipe called for corn but can you imagine i have NONE in the house!!!:shock:How on earth did that happen, cos normally i have bags of the frozen stuff  . Anyway, i replaced it by yellow pepper .
and coriander chutney.
Got to say, it was a good food night - all new recipes and all worked really well!
Oh and i made a chocolate pudding for dessert :top: (Lets face it, you can't really go wrong with choccie!!)
lasagna
Moose stew!!!
So... I was going to make chicken nuggets and fries, then spotted a lone pork butterfly chop in the freezer... So I made General Tso Pork! It was fabulous, cooked it with onions, mushrooms and green peppers, with homemade sauce, over rice!
I made Hong Kong sweet n sour pork though surely no one in Hong Kong has ever made it like this, lol. It's surprising I tried the recipe since it has ketchup in the sauce. The sauce sounds odd, but is so delicious, and it is by far the best breaded pork I have ever tasted. Potato starch is the key. Here is the recipe if anyone is interested: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/hong-ko...-and-sour-pork
Don't know how in the world I got my days mixed up - thought yesterday was Wed. so I planned a meatless meal - we had baked fish, roasted potatoes, corn and peas.
Tonight will be the pork, veggie, and barley casserole I made a few days ago, with pasta.
Last night I made grilled porkchops with beans and some jazzed up boiled potatoes with rosemary, fresh garlic and some blue cheese, ymuuy!
Tonigh I going to bbq a really nice thick rib steak, can't wait. I'll through a few spuds in the oven and also roast some turip, carrots and parsnip to go with it.
Speaking of cheating on a diet(although I'm not actually on a diet, lol) This morning after work I made a poutine using mcains smile potatoes with sauteed mushrooms, poutine gravy and cheese curds. Was really good but I ate way too much. ;)

Tomorrow will be another mix & match dinner, thinking about using up my Wong Wing boxes, some VH Steamers and maybe a chicken fried rice with the last 2 or 3 egg rolls.
