I'll have to wait until my husband is home so that he can help me with the prep work. I have a bandage on my left hand from having a bone spur removed on Monday.
Plan on making a meat sauce for nachos and cheese. Mmm

Barrio Fiesta to the rescue!! They are near the Physio Clinic...so a no brainer after my treatment today. Got 2 combos for us to all share. Glass looking noodles with veg/chicken, sweet and sour fish, plantain and beef stew, other combo was same noodles with a stew that has a reddish sauce, potatoes, red peppers. Also brought home some of their soup (it looks and tastes like won ton? ) and a small dish of something that has ground meat, and maybe a veg similar to celery, but the gal said it was a form of papaya ?? ( it was a very slight green colour ) It is delicious!

Yes, for sure it is great if you can plan out your meals :) Makes it sooo much easier. Last night I heated up the Cream of Tomato soup and at the last minute added a tin of heated up Italian Accent Tomatoes You have to be careful as this can curdle if it becomes to hot. ( .50 cents at No-Frills-Ends today for the Tomatoes ) and was it ever good. For tonight Porkchops with Mushroom sauce, potatoes and carrots.( Having lots of carrots this week as 1.00 at NF's and they are really sweet) Thanks everyone for posting your meal ideas. When I have trouble thinking up a Supper idea I come on here and always find great ones. Thankyou all soooo much. Happy Thursday :) :)
Now clue for tonight I feel like making potato mustard salad but depends how I feel when I get home..maybe pasta with a green leaf salad.

Is it bad to admit i'm having curry again tonight??
So i made curry the other day, then there were leftovers(just enough for one.....ME!!!!) and i still
have some of the lovely rice left so i'm whipping up another curry (again, just for me!!!).
The other peeps in my house are having a roast chicken(smothered with rosemary and garlic butter), pots and carrots.
There is also a cream of veg soup and a raisin cake(new recipe...fingers crossed it tastes ok!)
Tonight I'm cooking a roast beef. We stayed home today so I decided a nice meal for dh would be in order. I'll make the usual suspects to go along with it. Some garlic mashed potates with some green onion added in for flavour and colour, some fresh green beans (I think I'll through them in the oven with a bit of EVOO, salt and pepper and I'll make some cheese and garlic biscuits to round it out.
spaghetti Pommodoro from pizza pizza. Not bad just small portion but for $6.99 was pretty good with garlic toast. :)

I'm so excited for you:excited::excited:
Take lots and lots of notes...............maybe even a pic.....then take pity on the rest of us and share MILs love!!;)
My curry was delish - though i have to give some credit to Jamie Oliver as i used his recipe (more or less) for a curry paste.
I swear, every time i make the recipe i manage to be missing something or fry things that shouldn'T be fried and yet it ALWAYS turns out.
Love it, love it, love it!!!
i had a massive blade steak in the freezer from our beef order that i had no idea what to do with, so i dethawed it and cut into slices and marinated in teryaki cooking sauce. added it some mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts, brocoli and peppers served over rice.

Oh, drool for Janetta's meal - and all the others sound wonderful, too!
Last night for supper I made meatloaf, which I've only made a few times, and it turned out much better than the last time; it was really good! First time using ground beef in just ages, too. Had roasted potato wedges with it.
Yesterday I boiled pork ribs, so I'll make soup from that today for supper - will have the ribs on the weekend.
Why do I come to this thread, even when I'm not hungry, this thread makes me hungry!!! All the delish meals and pic's, oh my the pic's :)
We're off today and we'll be very busy, so tonight will be the beef dip (from last nights roast) and a potato salad I made last night. I just think some things taste better on the second day. I'm going to pick up some fresh corn on the cob and add that to the menu and voila...dinner is served!
Beef stew in crock pot
Jane's chicken strips and mac. salad.
Chips (fries!), Yves nuggets, spirooli salad
