I always love to eat pizza fish in my dinner.
Funny, in high school one of my classes was cooking. The classes were in the morning leading up to lunch and we would cook most of the food served for lunch(free labour lol;)) To make something cheap that didn't just consist of fries we came up with something that sold for $1.00 each. Macaroni mixed with tomato sauce, ground beef and pea's and it was a pretty nice portion and sold out every day. The first day we sold it kids that would normally just buy fries for $1.00 were like OMG that's only $1.00 and it was a hit every day after. :)
I'll make 3 packs of the great value noodles..but only do a little less than 1/2 the water called for. I will make it in a large bowl in the microwave and take like 4mins total. Most of the water is gone by the end of cooking since all I really wanted were the noodles and at .21 cents each(will sometimes add a handful of frozen peas) not bad cheap meal lol..;)

Tonight is pizza from Whole Foods - basil pesto base with grilled veggies, mushrooms, caramelized onions and feta Yummers!
I used to go to whole foods in Vancouver and another place called nesters. I would buy a bunch of really nice things at both. After my bills were paid I had a $700 a month food budget so it was all expensive natural foods. They made all their own veggie and salmon burgers and other stuff. Homemade blue cheese dressing $7.00 lol. ;)
Homemade soup and hotdogs tonight.
curry noodle soup for lunch and chili for supper before I go meet my doom and write an exam tonight...
Along with my cold, I woke up with a double eye infection and my vision keeps going blurry.
So.. soup it is! lol. Not sure it's safe for me to even TRY to make anything else.
I dream of the day that a whole foods market opens around here. LOL. I heard great things..
Supper last night was grilled pork chops, pasta and peas & carrots. Whole Foods is really expensive, so not a place I would shop at consistently even if there was one close to me.
I landed up making breakfast for supper last night, lol. They had Oktoberfest sausages at the local meat store, so I got them and made hashbrowns and poached eggs. The store had pork cutlets on sale so I got some for tonight and will bread them and make pasta and sauce as well.
i'm boycotting the grocery store this week. i was there almost every day last week picking things up that we needed or stocking up on a sale item. took the kids to pizza pizza for a slice at lunch so i'm thinking something light for dinner - maybe some soup or zoodles.
did wednesday whopper!
Mcdo wraps. Not to hungry I thing I am fighting a sore throat...Always had a sensitive throat the winter.
Maybe a hot chocolate or a french vanilla coffee with cookies tonight.
Dinner tonight (sorry no pics, lol) Great value stuffed chicken with noodles in tomato sauce and a tomato salad on the side.
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gzCI1wVGXY...0/IMG_6228.jpg Caribbean inspired jerk pork with rice and beans!
I say "inspired" only because I made it completely non-spicy and subbed a couple of ingredients.. lol
It was delicious though! I love rice and beans!!
I am making homemade chicken noodle soup with dumplings! Wish me luck cause I have never made dumplings before ;)......
Last night we had salmon fillest with a dill sauce. I served it with wild rice and roasted tomatoes and radishes that I sprinkled with olive oil and tyme.
I love whole foods, and shop there if I'm up that way. There never seems to be one close to me. In the Tampa area, there is only 1 thats relatively close, and that one is still a ed min. drive, so I've only been there twice.
Tonight will be a slow cooker meal - pork loin chops with potatoes, onions, carrots, other assorted veggies, probably in a mushroom sauce.
Brown sugar salmon with couscous and some type of stir fried veggie.
still on strike from the grocery store... i have some ground beef to use and some broccoli. it'll either be hamburger helper or sweet and sour meatballs with white rice and broccoli. i can't wait for the day when both my kids are on the same food-page. one likes potatoes - one doesnt. one likes rice - one doesnt. the list goes on and on. *GAH!!!*
Last night was crockpot roast chicken with white rice and broccoli. I totally forgot to get the stew ready for the crock this morning, so I'll pick something up on the way home. Tomorrow chicken cacciatore (probably butchered the spelling lol)
home made veggie pad thai!
