The rib dinner looks so yummy!!!
Even though I was up at 4:30am and on the go driving all over (incl the USA) I managed to make bbq'd burgers. Ok, Ok. I didn't make them I bought them. Trader Joes had some grass fed angus burgers for $4 something so when I picked up some of their pizza dough and Kona coffee shortbread cookies I grabbed them too.
Tonight is Mexican shredded tacos :P from the slow cooker..... it smells YUMMY :P
Tonight is leftover taco seasoned meat with stir fry veggies wrapped up in a pita with cheese and lettuce.
I had healthy plans. Was going to grill some chicken, go to the gym. Instead it's hot dogs on the bbq and wine to wash it down. Oh well, tomorrow's another day!
Tonight was steak, parm roasted potatoes, stir fried mushrooms & onions
Last night was takeout Chinese - pretty much because we wanted to have something different before Easter. Today is a meatless day, tomorrow is fasting, then Easter food for the weekend and into the week.
I made chicken noodle soup and homemade buns. Also three loaves of bread, and a batch each of muffins and cookies.
Chicken quarters and macaroni salad..see what else I can find lol!
I'm taking the leftover shredded mexi chicken and turning it into a pizza.
I am making beef and bean baked chimichangas, Mexican tossed salad, and Spanish rice YUMMY

I used to be a real Canadian. If necessary, I'd shovel the deck so I could get to the bbq. Today I got home, greased and lit the bbq, came back out a few minutes later with my chicken thighs....and it was raining. It was cold. My chicken got cooked in the oven. :)
cheese and leek souffle.
Nachos, something quick and easy. I cannot wait for this week to be over.
I'm cooking double tonight. A double batch of meat balls for meatballs with mashed potatoes and veggies tonight, and spaghetti and meatballs tomorrow.
I got my Instant Pot from amazon today. Onions, potatoes, ribs, ketchup, bbq sauce, s&p, garlic powder, jerk seasoning. Will serve over rice, also cooked in the Instant Pot :)

Last night was perogies with sauteed onions and mushrooms.
Today is Good Friday, a fasting day, so just a homemade veggie soup for supper.
Homemade pizza & salad. Ice Cream in the freezer is going to be hard to resist.

I read the reviews and decided to use my amazon credits from Swagbucks on it. I've tried it as a rice cooker and pressure cooker, and both turned out great! :)
Edited to add: I used the Saute function to do the onions and brown the meat, added in the rest of the ingredients, then used the Meat/Stew function to finish it up. 40 minutes and the ribs were literally fall off the bone!
Interesting tool, that Instant Pot thing.
It's a beautiful sunny day in Haliwood, although the wind is a bit cool. For tonight it shall be...steak on the new bbq. *drool* DS does not care for steak (or beef at all really, outside of hamburger, thinks it's 'too chewy'), so he's getting some pork chops in the crock pot that he loves, served with rice. Also having baked potatoes, and going to try grilling some asparagus. I bought some ground turkey today, made up some burgers for future use, might grill a couple of them too.
I'm being taken out for dinner....shame the kids are coming too.
Mashed potatoes, spareribs and sauerkraut
Healthy Choice Steamers and cheese...fast one since I have still things to do And I will restock on those tomorrow because they are so handy and they are on sale +bogos =score:third:
This was last night's supper: bbq chicken wings, pasta and veggies.
Although Easter Sunday is tomorrow, our foods were blessed this afternoon at church.
Usually we would have our Easter breakfast after church Sunday morning, but we're 'kinda cheating' and having the traditional blessed foods for supper. (We won't go to hell or anything, since at the blessing Christ is Risen is sung, so it's more of a technicality. I had never ever thought of doing this til one year we were having a priest over, and he said it was fine!)
So we have to eat the blessed foods first, everything which is in the basket - but, of course, there is more of everything!
Baked ham, ham garlic sausage, Paska and Babka breads, boiled eggs, green onion, cottage cheese, butter - along with cabbage rolls.
