I'm cooking burgers, smashed potatoes, roasted broccoli. Sadly I am out of cheese! This NEVER happens in my house! :( Overnight I'm going to do a small pork roast in my crockpot for tomorrow.
Turkey burgers!
Last night was barbecued hockey pucks with oven fries.
Tonight will be breakfast for supper - eggs - not sure what kind yet, maybe an omelette; ham, home fries.
Yesterday I made tater salad with the usual suspects like taters and mayo ;) but then I added 2 kinds of mustard, a couple of hard boiled eggs diced, chili paste for heat, super thin green onions, and peas and of course BACON :P. It was soooooo yummy! I served it with simple grilled chicken. Tonight will be more tater salad and I'm thinking of a Mexican-ish stuffed pepper??? Oh ya and yesterday I also prepped the chicken for my butter chicken which I think we will have on Friday :)
The wedding festivities continue! LOL..There is a big meet & greet thing this evening/tonight..but I have a craving for chicken & rice so I am going to bbq chicken and have an early supper..and tonight again there will so much food i.e. deep fried turkeys, wings and all kinds of sides, dips, the food will be endless...there will prob be roasts, meat trays, cheese, and crab dips (which is my fav) Gee, there's another couple of lbs!! LOL
BBQ organic: chicken, potatoes and broccoli :)
Tuna casserole, salad and rhubarb crisp.
I bought some hoisin sauce tonight on the way home, thought I'd try this recipe out Harbie. :)
Ended up having takeout last night instead of what I planned...
Was trying to decide yesterday what to make for tonight, son made a request - so it shall be granted!
He wants tomato soup and tuna sandwiches - simple and yummy!
I'll make some egg salad, too, because husband is not a tuna fan.
Last night was steak, baked potato, and re heated roasted cauliflower we had left over from the weekend.
Thinking of something quick and easy tonight as I have a lot to get done after work and even though my mom is home all day lately she does not start cooking until well after I am home and I eating dinner at 7 pm is not working for me. Hopefully this weekend I can get a ton of food prep done and fill my new freezer and maybe come up with a meal plan for next week.
Going to make some homemade meatballs. I got a bunch of ground beef and pork along with garlic, eggs, parm cheese and bread crumbs. Just gonna mix it all together form balls and hope lol. ;)
... French toast and fruit salad.
I splurged and had a piece of lenon poppyseed loaf from starbucks. So had to do up a low cal but filling meal under 250 calories. Lol. Damn starbucks.
Thin egg noodles with homemade pasta sauce, bit of shredded mozza and some fresh young carrots and beans that I boiled.
Oh and threw some siracha sauce on there.

I was pleased to see that Superstore now sells small bottles of fish sauce. I have never used one up (just tossed it after a length of time in the cupboard)...but how do you know if it's gone bad when it smells like dirty socks even when it's fresh?
We had our first green beans from the garden today, along with grilled ribeye, baked potatoes, mushrooms and garlic bread.
home made battered and fried alaskan pollock with sliced cucumber, and steamed broccoli and swiss chard
Tonight will be BBQ chicken breasts and whatever I can rummage from the neighbours garden! They are going on holidays today so told us to help ourselves!
Last night I bbq'd some of the most AMAZING burgers I have ever had. We picked up some Hormone & Steroid Free - Dry Aged freshly ground beef (they grind fresh each day) for $3.99/LB here: http://www.hopcottmeats.ca/ Man I have never eaten beef that tasted so good. Since I bought the 10lb pack I will be cooking some and freezing it and freezing the raw stuff too.
leftover chicken thighs and rice from last week.
For supper, I made homemade pizzas - with baked ham and ground beef. Oh, I'm full; they were great!
Yesterday was the actual wedding and they served stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, veggies and a gravy. It was delicious! and amazing how they served 300 people so quickly and kept everything hot (the kitchen is so tiny!) and chocolate brownie cheesecake for dessert (my fav.) It has been endless food for many days now, so today will be something simple for supper. I don't know what yet but prob just something in the oven i.e. wings as its raining and too cold to bbq!(maybe someone will be kind enough to send in dinner/leftovers--LOL)
I redeemed 2 of those silly FPC Old El Paso Dinner Kits and was giving the kits to DS, but he declined saying he likely would not cook the burger to go with them, soooooo, I cooked up one kit , all the toppings are there! Happy brunch sleepy heads that are not up yet!
Last night was popcorn, had a big lunch at Pickle Barrel (I LOVE that place) so was not hungary just snacky so had some yummy buttery salty popcorn
Tonight will be roast chicken with potato stuffing some form of potatoes (have not decided what kind yet) with candied acorn squash.
DS and I just came from the Canada Games Centre Pool. It's hot, and although it's early, we made a spontaneous decision to get a sub there from Subway. DH is out tonight, so we're on our own. We'll likely need some more food later, but we'll worry about that later!
I am brining a whole chicken that I will cook later, either on the grill or in my little countertop oven rotisserie. That countertop oven has been great for the summer - we bought it last year when our oven unexpectedly died and we didn't know if we were going to have to replace the whole range. Fortunately it was just an element and easy to fix. But the little oven doesn't heat up the whole house.
went to a restaurant and did take out, best way to avoid paying tip!!!!
