I've been spoiled the last two days working on set and having food prepared by chefs...Wed night was salad, some sort of spicy rice dish, mashed sweet potatoes, shaved beef brisket, broccoli, rye bread, and I can't even remember what else! Thurs night was salad, seasoned peas, seasoned corn, spicy roasted potatoes, mixed root veggies with pearl onions, and chicken parmigiana.
Tonight I'm having poutine and chicken fingers since I have had this gravy sitting in the fridge for the few days that I haven't been home to eat.
-
Just ordered in Chinese food, husband will pick up on the way home.
Son is coming over, yay!
I only had a cupcake for lunch, so I am ravenous - no shrimp shall be safe!
-
The plan was for homemade pizza for DS and grilled steak for DH and I. But it's wet and windy out tonight, so just made the pizza and I'll grill steak tomorrow. I love our homemade pizza, but I always burn the roof of my mouth on the cheese because I'm too darned impatient to stuff it in there! :)
-
Tonight, leftover Chinese food - even with a huge amount our son took home last night, there is so much left for us!
Each dish we ordered was overflowing - they were very generous!
-
first time I price matched lean ground beef at RCSS to earn the PCPlus points on my offer. DH has been whining about me using chicken or turkey for the homemade burgers, so THAT is what dinner is tonight. A $20.00 family pack of meat was reduced to $12.00, not bad at all! ( made 14 pretty large patties ) Hmmm, better round that meal out with some veggies.
-
The night before last I made tater tots with a over easy egg ;)
Last night I made my spicy chicken thighs in the slow cooker so it ended up shredded and I served with garlic butter rice and a salad :)
Not sure about tonight. I have a funeral to go to alone ( Dh's working :() and I doubt I have much interest in cooking or eating after :(
-
its absolutely gorgeous outside so i'll be bbq'ing some lean porkchps, baked potatoes, fresh asparagus and some broccoli.
-
I've been at the cabin the past couple of days and have been eating (and drinking) so much I still feel full...lol....last night we made our own chinese food..if I'm not too tired this evening will just be a simple chicken stir-fry with lots of veggies,,
-
Yesterday's lunch at the volunteer event was two types of home made pizza, salad pre-mixed with too much dressing, Mann's veggie and dip stray, home made sour cream raisin pie, and store bought valentine's cupcakes.
-
I grilled our steak tonight (baked chicken for DS since he is not a fan), and we're having Costco tuxedo cake for dessert. *drool*
-
Tonight is BBQ Baked Chicken Breasts with roasted potatoes and kale salad.
-
Soup stock is simmering from leftover turkey and other bones and bits. Not sure if I will add potato or rice or noodles into the finished soup, but there will be spinach ( and lots of it ) Breaded and baked some fresh chicken breast nuggets for DD, par cooked up plenty of fresh veggie sides ahead so no ones plate will be all meat today. The game is on at noon, hmmm maybe I should make dumplings with the soup, it is chilly out again.
-
Last night was chicken and dressing. Tonight will be chicken, rice and broccoli casserole
-
It's a REALLY stormy, lazy day here..so making a couple of pizza's seeing that I have all the fixin's..freeze one for another time.
-
Tonight will be fish and veggies.
-
I'M making a curry coconut beef rendang.
made with: beef stew, ginger, garlic, onion, fish sauce, curry powder, coconut milk and dried cilantro
-
I made broth from pork ribs, then made soup with barley, rice, peas, onions, celery, shell pasta and lots of dill.
Marinated the ribs all day, roasted them in a tangy tomato based sauce with lots of garlic and horseradish, served with potatoes roasted with onions and mushrooms.
Everyone wanted to have lots of soup, so didn't have much of the main meal - husband ate 1/2 pot of soup, so he'll have his as leftovers tomorrow.
-
Saturday after the Men scored in OT, DH and I went out and used up one of our Xmas GC's ( Baton Rouge) Well that was a quick $50.00 spent! It was delicious ( ribs) but c'mon waaaaayy too pricey. This morning I pan fried up Basa fillets and Cod for today's lunch/dinner??
-
Tonight I am planning on making a beef broccoli stir-fry with rice. This will be my first time making this. Hope it's nice and tasty.
-
I took out some frozen chicken breast, so once they thaw out I'm going to pound them out and stuff with cheese, spinach & mushrooms and bake in the oven; maybe top with tomato sauce & cheese and will prob just have some rice to go with it and sautéed carrots....
-
Dh took me to the Fairmont hotel for a yummy brunch buffet and then we went to the pet lovers show! Ya, I was on spoiled girl ;)
Dinner tonight is at the in laws :)
-
I went back to work today, but I'm still kind of sick. I'm MUCH better than last week, but still coughing and have a stuffy nose. So I'm making some soup tonight; chicken thighs, frozen spinach (love the ones that come in small frozen pieces now), and a pack of stirfry veggies like carrots, broccoli, peas, etc. Will add noodles later.
Am I a whack job for being mad about paying more than I could have for chicken broth? I had one carton in my cupboard, but have a plan for potato soup in the crockpot tomorrow for supper. Costco has packs of six Campbell's chicken broth cartons on sale right now, comes out to $1.29 a carton. But I'm just not up to it, couldn't get to Costco tonight, had to buy a carton at Sobeys on 'sale' for $2.49! :) I will still buy them later, I use broth a fair bit and I <3 soup.
-
Husband had leftover ribs and potato mix for supper, plus leftover barley soup.
I had baked potato, broccoli, Caesar salad, and a bit of roasted chicken breast.
-
Chicken in the crockpot with rice and veggies!
-
meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, broccoli and pickled beets
-
That reminds me to put pickled beets on my shopping list!
Tonight is a bought rotisserie chicken, and I'm making crash potatoes and cooked carrots.
-
-I made a gourmet meal today -pork tenderloin -had a rub on it -sautéed it on stove then in oven on a bed of pears in a corning wear dish-yum with mashed oates ,corn and tea biscuit buns -dessert low calorie brownies-hubby loved it no leftovers left
-
I don't have to cook until Sunday!!! YAY!... Well, not really. DH is in TO for business so since it's just me and Harley(and he only eats his dog food and salad) I doubt I'll be in the kitchen much. He left this morning and I already miss him :( I am thinking of a full on roast dinner for his return on Sunday :)
-
I think we'll have a quiche tonight. I also fancy a spinach salad.
-
I put potatoes in my crockpot this morning and we just finished delicious potato soup. :) Just potatoes, chicken broth, garlic, onion in the crockpot, then when it's cooked put it in the blender, back to the pot and add shredded cheese, cream cheese, milk. Nom nom nom!
