There are a beetroot salad and meat stewed with onions and pickled cucumbers. And a parsley. :)
I'm making fish chowder, steamed broccoli and baked spuds with sourcream and onion.
I'm in the process of making a homemade veggie lasagna. Eggplant, spinach, ricotta, and cheating with a can of pasta sauce to make it faster to make.
previously frozen chicken and brown rice dinner.
garlic sausage, green beans, mushroom rice.
Dh and I haven't been feeling good for a few days. I just cooked up some M&C and some ham sausage from Schneiders. Feeling sick right now sucks extra because I have a migraine, LO isn't sleeping good at night and I have a university midterm exam tomorrow. :( I've been studying, but I hope it will be enough.
making homemade turkey meatballs with packaged curry lentils.
Tonight was homemade pizza, made the dough yesterday to make bread sticks so used the remaining dough to make homemade pizza tonight. I tried a different recipe it was okay but not sure I would use again, this one has spices in it so it can only be used for savory pizza, it was good but really no better than our regular recipe which I can also use for sweet recipes.
We went to a recreation facility that was bit further away today, to give DS something different to do, a pool with lots more waterslides than the place we have a membership. I'd been given a $10 off coupon for East Side Mario's after buying a 50/50 ticket this week, so we went there on the way home.
I've commented on this before I think, but OMG the portions at ESM. We're not light eaters, we aren't a family who eats like birds, but this was still a lot for even us. DH and I each ordered a pasta dish, DS ordered from the kids menu, and we had unlimited garlic bread and Cesar salad. We each ate maybe half of our meal, and there's enough left for each of us to have a sizable lunch. This works out well for us, since DS has basketball class nearly as soon as we can get to him, so we don't generally have time for supper except for what we can grab on the fly.
DH got finished with his business early so he came home early!!! Bad news is that I had to pick him up at 12:45am and we didn't get home until 1:45am. I also had been up since 5:30 am and had to get up at 6:30am so needless to say today has been a write off and so is dinner :( I think we will just grab some takeout.
Tomorrow I have 2 new clients in Vancouver so I'd better get something ready for tomorrow's dinner ;) maybe time to visit the in laws ;) lol
I roasted a chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, steamed carrots and asparagus with rice pudding for dessert. Tomorrow I will make soup with the leftover chicken and homemade bread for dinner.
Husband cooking - so KFC it is!
I have no groceries! I am forced to eat Chunkies Beef with crackers. Oh my!
Today is lasagna day--I'm making 2, one for me and one for my neighbour!! yummo (and garlic loaf off course!!)
Last night we treated ourselves and went to the gastronomic buffet at Le Casino de Montréal. I had Lobster Bisque with a whole wheat crusty roll. I had to try everything on the menu so even though it seems like a lot it really isnt because i took a spoonful of this and that. So this is what i had. Antipasto: homemade cesar salad with real bacon; a thingythat looked like sliced chicken in a glass holder with some sort of sauce; 1 slice of provolone cheese, 2 slices each of Genoa salami, Proscuitto and some other Italian sausage thingy, alone with 3 different kinds of olives; also a slice of pate and a cracker. Then i had some shrimps with seafood sauce; then i had a small slice of roast beef with a bit of mashed potatoes and gravy, 1 small slice of greek potato and some grilled shrimp brochettes. There was a lot of other stuff i couldnt try because i wanted dessert. This is what i had for dessert: 1 small Creme Brulee; 2 strawberries with chocolate; 1 small tiramisu an 1 cream puff with maple whipped cream and a sliver of hard maple on top.
Hubby had Antipasto the same as me but more of it. He also had 3 duck legs, some roast beef, stuffed pork, mashed potatoesand some greek potatoes and gravy. He also had this stirfry of different vegetables. He doesnt go for seafood much so he didnt have any. Dessert wasmainly the same as me plus he had some sort of almond tort.
Dinner tonight will be ham baked with cloves and maple syrup, mashed potatoes and sliced carrots.
I have no idea what we are having for supper tonight. Dh will be picking LO up from daycare because I will be writing a university midterm exam at supper time tonight.
For lunch today I had home made chicken salad on a toasted bagel with sliced English cucumber and a glass of milk. It was yummy.
Chicken salad: baked chicken breast, chopped celery, chopped green onion, ground black pepper, and mayo
Tonight is basketball night for DS, so it's grab what you can night, and DS gets a sub at Subway when he's done with his class. I might need one too.
soup and grilled cheese tonight. DH is back on afternoons so I find I don't cook as much.
Tonight, husband had the leftovers of the pork slowcooker concoction I made the other night.
I had 1/2 chicken breast, nuked potato, salad with lettuce, broccoli, and cauliflower.
It's another stormy day here so not much to do but cook! (lol) I think I'm going to get a head start and make a bunch of stuff in case I go to the cabin over the next couple of days i.e, meatballs, ribs, honey garlic wings, chili (save some for a nacho dip) fried rice, then I can freeze and take with me when I do go and just heat it all up on the woodstove...
Arthritis is acting up majorly bad today, especially in both my wrists and my fingers. I cant turn the door handle or hold anything heavy in my right hand. Hubby made ham last night so tonight it will be leftover ham with roast potato fingers, some sort of vegies and a salad. Dessert will be Del Monte fruit cocktail.
last night was Spicy chicken Vindaloo with rice.....NEVER again!! Too spicy.
Tonight is Butter chicken....so yummy
I was exhausted after yesterday since it was 4:00 and all I ate since 6am was 2 bottles of water and a handful if almonds so dh and I went to white spot on the way home and had the legendary burger. Tonight will be Indian meatballs in a creamy curry sauce with rice and a salad.

Tonight was, "I don't have a plan" night. So we had some tomato soup, garlic bread. I just cooked two small chickens for the next couple of days, gotta find some creative things to do with them for supper instead of just plain chicken!
Made tomato sauce with ground pork, had it with spaghettini (not a fan, prefer regular); marinated salad I made with cauliflower, carrots, broccoli florets and stems.
