We went on a Nova Scotia adventure today, to the Valley and ended up at Blomidon Provincial Park. We were gone for nearly seven hours, I was so glad I'd put a pork roast in my crockpot before we left. Five minutes after we got home we had shredded pork with salad and potato salad.
Stella's breakfast sandwich and hash browns
had leftover Chinese food about two hours ago, but there wasn't much so now I'm having PB with bananas on toast.
PC smokies and a potato salad with added Caesar salad dressing to that. Has a nice zing to it.
Wagyu burgers and potato salad but trust me my diet is still right around 85% veggie. ;) My groceries this week minus the burgers and some mayo and bread was 80% veggie stuff. :)
Going to try the steakhouse box I bought from Walmart yesterday. :)
lots of leftovers from yesterday...so will prob have that..although I'm craving sushi, so might go pick some up later...
Chicken ceaser wraps with real bacon. Chicken is leftover from the 2 whole birds we BBQ'd for dinner last night.
Last night dh bbq'd pork chops with rosemaries and some other herbs. I cooked rice and made a mushroom sauce on the side. We had Mann's Sugar Snap peas and Mike's Hard Lemonade. It was third drink that I have had in the last 6months, 4th drink in 3yrs. Nice to try it though...heard about it, just never drank it. LO loved the rice. LO and I both went to the walk-in clinic this morning and came out with prescriptions.
Had my birthday dinner out at BP with DH and DS's. Tried the Spicy Perogie burger(yummy)and the Chocolate Explosion cake(to die for).
Cold toasted bagels.....with butter.....also cold.
So nice to have found some chili in the freezer this morning - I usually don't do that.
I bumped it up by adding some mushroom sauce, and served with pasta.
There were lots of veggies and barley in the chili, so the only other veg we had was snacking on some fresh radishes before we ate.
Chicken barley soup, something light tonight, maybe I'll toss some salad. DH is having his routine heartburn.
going to make some chicken burger sliders on the bbq (ground chicken) and a salad...
Pirate stew...which seems a little ridiculous because it's rather humid here today...but not heating up the house by using the crock pot kinda trumps everything. LOL.
What is pirate stew if you don't mind sharing?
Roasted chicken dinner tonight, with stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, salad.
Yves veggie burgers with potato salad. Lots of toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers, pickles.
Grilling steak tonight, with leftover pork roast for DS since he doesn't care for steak.
I normally include chipotle powder on steak (from Bulk Barn, smoky and a bit hot), but I'm all out. So I'm improvising with Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, minced garlic, dried onion flakes, pepper and olive oil. Will add Bullseye BBQ sauce as they're grilling.
Happy belated birthday sweetmomma!
tonights dinner will be crispy bacon ranch chicken and rice
roasted garlic chicken thigh and drumsticks with stir fried noodles.
Leftover soup and spring mix salad with shredded cheese.
Have leftover potatoes and veg from last night, so I'll slowroast a pork steak in some sort of sauce to go over the taters.
I'm thinking about cooking chicken breasts with fresh sliced mushrooms, green onion from the garden, jarred Alfredo sauce, and pasta. I always have a glass of milk with meals when I am at home. We'll be eating more Mann's sugar snap peas with it again.
I have some garden peas that will be ready to pick tomorrow. :)
BBQ again!! pork chops, asparagus (so good on the bbq, all crispy and charred!!) mushroom packet, and go a little crazy and making a potato packet mixed with regular potatoes & sweet potato; lots of butter & sour cream..and apple sauce for the pork!!
