Hooray for McD coupons! Last night, I had almost all of a Big Mac, 1/2 order med fries, 1/2 rootbeer.
Tortellini with mushroom and pepper steak.
shake and bake chicken, rice and peas.
simple but satisfying :)
Homemade pizza
home fries and battered haddock.
I do not think asking the gang to eat up the already made ( and yummy ) cabbage rolls is asking too much?? Not feeling like cooking anything new today.
Leftover from last night and probably I'll add some stir fry veggies.
Last night, Olymel chicken strips (taste is good, but I wish they were thicker); pasta shells in mushroomygarlicky sauce; glazed carrots.
I'm making chicken cutlets & I have some delicious green beans & little red potatoes that I'll pan fry.
:) :) :) :)
I like a little squeeze of lemon over my cutlets.
Enjoy the day & happy cooking everyone!!
Last night my wonderful man made meatloaf, mashed potatoes with green beans and baby carrots. It was amazing like usual. Tonight- I'm not sure yet but thinking it will be a clean out the fridge/freezer kind of night. A bit of this and that. Then I can meal plan the rest of the week :) Something in the crockpot for tomorrow nights dinner since we have hockey :)
Homemade chicken fingers, perogies and peas.
I cooked a pork roast and made gravy last night, so that's what we're having for supper tonight. I think I overcooked it just a bit though; oh well, gravy will moisten things up. :)
^ you've probably already eaten, but if I overdo a pork or beef roast, I slice it, then reheat with a bit of water - either in the oven or in a pan; it rehydrates it just enough and doesn't take away the flavour.
Tonight for supper, I made my rib sauce, but used it to bake a pork steak cut into strips; served over leftover pasta shells. I had a bowl of salad, too. Husband had two slices of carrots - his 'serving' of veggies, lol!
A stuffed pepper.
Mushroom and cheese omelette.
Travelling too much, today was Mary Brown's, I had the Big Mary sandwich.. It was delish!!
Tonight we had a variety of things out of the fridge.
I pulled out pre-cooked pulled pork from the freezer. We will eat it tomorrow with hotdog buns (free from coupon) and cucumber salad (cucumbers free from dh's co-worker's garden) with a glass of milk. Tomorrow night we are celebrating LO's 2nd Birthday. Chocolate cupcakes with blue butter-cream icing, home made. I bought Chapman's slicing vanilla icecream to go with it. Might also serve some chips to go with it.
Homemade burgers and quick coleslaw.
toaster strudel , with extra cake icing
anyone with a good true and tried recipe for 'piggies in a blanket' (at least I think that's what they're called)....totally from scratch - without the crescent roll package stuff....
Salmon, potatoes, cauliflower and 5 star peach pie.
Homemade borscht (Can you see the sweat on my brow? If not, I'm sure you can see the dribbles on my shirt from just finishing cooking it, lol!), and if I get around to it later - cheddar and ham biscuits.
Leftovers
something with avocados!
Another stuffed pepper. They come 4 to a package, so tomorrow will be my last one.
the gang is having Little Caesars Pizza.....I am shoving another homemade cabbage roll into me. hrmph! they can have their over salted, cheesy goodness, I'll sit here and grind my teeth at them!
