I played the easy card and made Chili dogs. Dh was happy :)
Roast and potatoes today.
Tonight's dinner is homemade burgers with onion rings and the odd bags of fries in the freezer. Take out at home!
As posted in the Crockpot thread, I've got Beef Stew on the go for tonight. If I stop being lazy, I could make some homemade bread in the bread machine to go with.
Love the inspiration here, thank you!! :)
Lasagna & Spinach Salad.
(can't wait!)
Tonight was supposed to be a little ham I found in the freezer that is just the right size for me, probably with some potatoes and veggies but all of a sudden I am craving pasta so we will see what wins when I get home. I have some homemade sauce in the freezer I would just to defrost and cook up some noddles might make for a nice quick dinner.
There are leftover potatoes and sauce from yesterday, so I'll make some meatballs to go with them. Hm... homemade pickled beets will go well with this.
leftovers today. Probably make some hot sandwiches out of the rest of the roast and throw on a pot of rice.
Will be having lasagna with sausage, ground beef and lots of cheese.... :hungry:
Our son came over for supper, so I made one of his faves (and ours!) - porkchops fried with crushed cornflake coating and lots of spices (only do them maybe twice a year, I don't fry much), oven roasted potato wedges, salad, kernel corn.
Mushroom soup with grilled cheese sandwiches. Our 2yr old son had 3rds of the soup. We'll have to see if he likes tomato soup some time.
Premade lasagna for tonight. It just takes up too much room in the freezer so I'm cooking it.
Hubby wants hamburgers, so hamburgers it will be for tonight!
What a week it's been!! My uncle passed away, he was 80 and battling lung cancer for 2 years, so the past few+ months have been a lot of suffering, etc..he passed away peacefully at home with all his family around, it was expected. There was an "irish" wake for most of the week, the funeral was yesterday....a lot of my family showed up to stay with me, it was pandemonium..lol...Monday night we had another night of high winds that knocked out my satellite (which is still not working) so no t.v. for the past few days for anyone to watch...and then in the middle of it all I got sick...good lord!! what a week...I'm still feeling under the weather, I've had a headache all week and persistent nausea, so just taking it easy today with grandma's homemade soup (maybe, if I can keep it down)
Well hubby wanted the hamburgers, but i looked in the fridge and found 5 yellow peppers that needed eating. So i decided to make baked stuffed peppers. I cut the peppers in half and cored them. Fried up some onions and garlic and make the stuffing for peppers with ground beef and rice. Will stuff the peppers later and top them off with some cheddar cheese and crushed croutons. Should be ok i guess. If not, oh well, such is life!
Roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies.
Tried chicken souvlaki lasagna last night. Two spoonfuls and threw it out. Felt sick all night.
tonight will be beef/broc with rice
Oh no, that sucks on your lasagna!
For us tonight, chicken thighs cooked on my Cuisinart Griddler. I put a mixture of garlic, dried onion, olive oil, mustard powder, salt and pepper under the skin for a bit, then cooked it, very tasty.
On the weekend I hope to try making chicken shawarama. I have taken some chicken breast out of the freezer that is already in cubes, and will scale down this recipe: http://vahuntergatherers.com/2014/09...-tahini-sauce/
Hopefully it turns out!
