Cottontail casserole
not Peter Cottontail???? please no!! :bawling:
I made a delicious stewy thing at 4:30 a.m. Did it all in my big old roastpan. Seared about 7-8 lbs of pieces of blade steak both sides on the stove top, tossed in 8 large chopped onions, some of my dehydrated baby carrots and Portabella mushrooms, s & p, splash of raspberry vinaigrette dressing and into the 365 degree oven for a while. I did sort of forget they were cooking, but np when I came back the meat was soooo tender, onions all gooey and caramelized. Lowered the temp to 300, added 3 cans Franco Amer. canned beef gravy, tossed in 6 cups fresh cut green beans, covered and set it back in the oven for another half hour.
While that cooked I filled the rice cooker.
Guys took that for their dinner for work tonight.....Mmmm.......mine was fresh out of the pan for breakfast! lol
Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn.

So sorry but yup
Cheese, crackers, deli meat and fruit plate. One of my favourites- and easy!
Char grilled asparagus and salmon fillet. I'm thinking of making either quinoa or rice to go with this.
Treated the kids to pizza since my teen asked since he was done exams. Eggs and rye toast for me. I wanted Chinese! But will save it for the weekend now :)
i'm making Kraft dinner with Hot dogs. So is still not feeling well so quick dinner tonight.
Breaded chicken drumsticks, carrots, mashed potatoes and a mushroom gravy.
I cooked a couple packages of the precooked bbq pork ribs from Giant Tiger. They were okay. :)
^ was wondering about them. Think I'll get a pack just to have in case... of you know, not wanting to cook!
Tonight, husband will have leftover ribs. We'll both have salad, and Sidekicks pasta carbonara. Wanted a light supper so we have room for munching on the baking our son brought over yesterday - new bakery in the city, so he brought a sampling of things for us to try. Plus, there's birthday cake left! :)
Moose stroganoffs
chilli and toast
left over turkey pasta.
had a craving for pancakes all wk.....good for us but not DS, he made raviolli.
We had toasted bacon, tomato, and cheese sandwiches.
I just finished having the "leftover bacon" i.e. the bacon that could have been my second sandwich. I turned it into an apple, bacon, dried cranberry, and marble cheese salad with a smokey salad dressing that I made. I don't eat it very often, but it was yummy. Now I am hoping that my stomach settles because this baby (10.5wks pregnant) isn't sure that s/he likes it.
Going to make homemade donair pizzas. Making an extra one for lunches on the weekend. :)
DH cooked up some Ziggy's fresh ravioli pasta with four cheese white sauce and baby peas to take for work tonight since I was immersed in Breaking Bad when he got in from work. He may be on his own for cooking until I finish watching all 7 Seasons!!
Just make sure to stock up on PB & J and ramen noodles. LOL
I had pork stroganoff. Was pretty good.
EXTREMELY heavy late lunch - may have a little snack for dinner or nothing.
Soup and sandwiches
So dehydrated veggies work well in a stew? I never thought of using them like that, might have to look for a dehydrator. :)
For us tonight, I recently did some cooking for the freezer. We had to eat quickly once DS got home since there was an event at his school, so I took out some sloppy joes last night that are already fully cooked, picked up some fries from the Sobeys deli. Sure enough, he ate that quickly and we were able to get out in time. He loves sloppy joes, there's enough for him to have for lunch tomorrow too.
Tomorrow night we might get some snow, I think I will take advantage of one of the Superbowl sales the grocery stores are having on wings and such (with bonus Air Miles at Sobeys!). I need to go buy transit passes anyhow.
a salad and grapes
Will make beef stew for dinner tonight. And a crusty bread. It is snowing outside and supposed to turn extremely cold this evening, so some comfort food is in order.
i made spam/shrimp fried rice.
