I was at the strip mall doing banking and it has a Paul Wong's Chinese restaurant there. I walked in, scoured the take out menu and asked if they had any vermicelli noodles ( gf ) but they only had other ones that probably are not gf, but he suggested I get just veg and chicken with a side of white rice, so I did!! I split it all into 3 servings, just ate the last of it now. Mmmmm.
so proud I resisted getting the greasy fried things I was really craving!!
Took hubby out to the Casino de Montréal last night. We went to the Buffet Gourmand for dinner. It was fantastic. Love their buffet! I had soup D`Andalusa and breadsticks, shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon, some sort of cheese. Then for the Entree, i had roast port with coriander sauce, mashed potatoes, shrimp and vegie sautee, some sliced chicken breast with a nice sauce (the sauce was fantastic) and a couple of pot stickers. Dessert was a strawberry dipped in chocolate, 2 slices of pineapple, a chocolate brownie mousse thingy in a fancy glass, a maple syrup mousse thingy, a small piece of cappuccino mousse cake and coffee! You had to roll me out! But it was sooooooooooooooo good!
Chicken drumsticks with seasoned breadcrumbs, baked potatoes and steamed asparagus.

Meat loaf with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. I bought these great turnovers from a bakery for dessert.:)
SnowFlakey - that sounds amazing!
Today is our Good Friday - a strict abstinence/fasting day - so no food all day, then minimal in the evening.
So, not cooking, I know all my husband will probably eat will be a pb sandwich - and me, too, probably.

Subs for supper tonight. We were out for most of the day so we picked some up on the way home. :)
2 fried eggs, 2 slices of toast with avocado and banana.
dinner was early yesterday, but everyone was home so we went with tossing Food Basics smoked sausages that were on sale this week ( 5.99 ) on the BBQ. Can barely remember the last time I ate anything BBQ'd, trying to avoid that. ( just 1 with no bun for me, with a side serving of guilt! lol ) Large green salad, steamed asparagus, broccoli and carrot coins.
...been at the cabin since Wednesday, an amazing week for sure....the ponds just started to get slushy yesterday so the snowmobiling is pretty much over for this year...I enjoyed every minute :)....we ate and cooked all weekend...everything in the cooler thawed out as it was so mild yesterday so I have steaks to use up and cod tongues, that will be on the menu this evening :)

should I have splurged and paid $13.00 for a long tray of raw chicken wings that were already all split up? I did! I cooked up the small leg looking parts in BBQ sauce for the gang, and I had the small other pieces done up 2 ways ( a peanut sauce and a honey garlic sauce ) leftover green salad.
Why do they charge so much for these cute scrumptious little tidbits of meat!?
Cornish hen (love them) stuffed, potatoes and cauliflower.
Chicken and rice soup.
I haven't ventured over here before :) Hey everyone!
So, I have a pork tenderloin out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow. Anyone have any suggestions for a tasty way to do it up? I don't usually like tenderloin because its so lean but it was on sale and I couldn't pass it up. Should I use as rub and in the oven with some veggies or something? Cut medallions and use a bbq sauce on the bbq? Looking for suggestions that are easy and tasty.
