Dh is gone with friends for the weekend. LO snacked on fresh red grapes and milk, he'll eat more later. I ate leftover fried potatoes, leftover ground beef/celery/carrot/onion mixture. I'm now having freshly made fruit salad with red grapes and gala apple. I'll have milk later, that way it does not hinder the absorption of the iron from my meal. :)
I'm going to have chicken legs with coleslaw tonight.
Homemade pizza tonight - son has been asking for it, and he's coming over.
The biggest reason he loves it is when there's leftover baked ham, because it's awesome on pizza. So that will be the main meat, along with some sauteed ground pork, onions, and mushrooms. If I can find pineapple, that will go on a little pizza for me - I make one separately with less cheese than the men like, anyway.
Mom and I will be making potstickers from ground chicken breasts. Honey, soy and hot mustard for the dipping sauce. Vegetable stir fry (cabbage, zucchini, carrots, baby corn, asparagus and fennel) served with rice.
Sweet and sour chicken, fried rice with mushrooms and veggies in the wok.
Our traditional food : boiled lamb and homemade pasta with onions. Pickles, grape tomatoes and mini-cucumbers and ekleri for dessert.
Turkey and all the fixin's tonight....leftovers for the next couple of days!!
Last night for dinner at son`s house, we had sausages with potatoes in onion soup mix, cole slaw, and different marinades. Dessert was a fruit chocolate fondue and Birthday cakes. Tonight for dinner im making roast beef with carrots and onions, mashed potatoes salad and garlic bread (because i feel like garlic bread). Dessert will be Chapmans vanilla ice cream.
After a particularly hard and long day at work on Friday my sweet MIL invited us over for dinner! She had made some amazing chili and homemade buns with salad. It was so wonderful to not only not have to cook after my long day but also to spend time with one of my nephews and brother in law as well.
BIL brought a strawberry cheesecake for dessert and MIL made a cold coffee flavoured soufflé. WOW! I didn't know there was such a thing but omg it was soooooooo yummy.
Saturday dh had a night out with his company and they had a family (adults only) bowling night so after meeting at a local restaurant for a few beers and some calamari and bruchetta we headed to bowling. While bowling for 4 hours we filled up on appys, more beer and then came out the tequila and fireball shots which I wisely avoided which is why I'm still standing today .
Tonight is going to be simple slap downs and salad.
This is for you vw_girl
