Tonight is leftovers night (roasted chicken, potatoes, carrots; sarma) supplemented by frozen thingees (chicken nuggets and patties, and some fish - each of which there are only a few left), and deli potato and macaroni salad.
(I don't know how to quote more than one person!)
AmberLab - SO jealous of you getting Swiss Chalet. We really miss it here in Saskatoon - there used to be one, but it was a crap location, so they closed up a while back. I want them back!
hollyhill - just throw together whatever you can - when I had carpal tunnel surgery and it was my right (dominant) hand which was in a sling, I did a lot of frozen stuff, actually. Unfortunately, I ended up using my hurt hand too much, anyway, which was not good - so don't do that!
Jacq - I know what you mean about meatloaf, my mom never made it, so the first time I had it was as an adult. I make it occasionally, but there are better things to make with ground beef! Interestingly, I've never had Shepherd's pie, lol! Some standard meals I had eaten but never cooked - lasagne, for example - I only started making my own a few years ago!
For lunch DH had a oven roasted veggie sandwich with a side of grapes....he's on a diet lol.
And for supper, I may be bbq chicken pita wraps with veggies or something....not really sure yet.
It is DH's birthday tonight so I am off the hook for cooking!
Tonight my bf and teen will have Southern fried Shake n Bake Chicken drumsticks and rice with corn and seasonings mixed together and because i don't like drumsticks i'll have either a cheese pizza that i'll make or fast fry steaks with the rice and corn mixture :)
Pot Roast
McDonalds
A new seafood take out just opened down the hill from me !!! Tonight I had fried clam dinner. Plan on going for lobster or scallops tomorrow night. I'll be gaining weight for sure now !! Or until the novelty wears thin :)

Scalloped potatoes and seasoned chicken fresh off the BBQ...I LOVE to BBQ! :)
Now I just have to boil the eggs for egg salad sandwiches (his work lunch tomorrow) and I might boil some extra for devilled eggs...yummm!

Yummers, user-id - how do you cook yams? I never have, but know they are good for us.
Homemade soup with bread and butter! yum yum!!
Here is last night's supper:
BBQ chicken with green onion & tomato wraps with corn on the nob & grilled mini mushrooms. DH saved a wrap for his lunch.
Dessert was yogurt with strawberries and red & green grapes....DH ate it too fast so will try to take a pic. of that tonight (it looked pretty lol)

One the left stuffed shells (spinach, ricotta, parmesan), middle Taco lasagna(from the kits), right are shells with ground beef and ricotta. I think this should do us 3 days. I hope. If the teenager likes it forget it! GONE!
Patty, will you adopt me please? :lolsign:

tonight is homemade philly cheesesteak sandwiches with caesar salad.
I have no idea what to make tonight. I am so uninspired lately ... and I love to cook, so it's quite sad!!
tonight homemade potato egg salad and spicy chicken breast mmmm
We are having Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Coleslaw.
I love this thread. I am in the same funk. I feel like I make the same thing over and over again. This thread is inspiring.
Tonight it was BBQ Chicken Breasts, Wild rice and steamed Broccoli - good stuff and I am so full
Last night was BBQed elk bratwurst with potato salad. Tonight...Hamburger Helper cheesy shells with garlic toast and salad. (Community meeting tonight, no time to cook a 'real' meal...lol)
Redmouse, I could eat that meal you showed every day - awesome!
Patty, way to go with making multiple meals! My son would be in 'cheese heaven' with you!
My Meniere's is really bad today, so it's mall food court take-out night (probably Greek and/or German). I can't cook when I feel so yucky, though I know I need to have some nutrition, and DH and son will eat anything...
My son and I had the schnitzel, spaetzle, saurkraut and kielbassa combo; husband had dry ribs and fresh bread. It actually felt good to eat something - maybe I just needed those strong flavours to perk me up to feel better!
