Japanese tonight where they cook in front of you. Always a blast, love it.
I ended up doing a baked potato with the chili on top :P
Tonight will be BBQ burgers and a salad of some sort.
I also need to figure out what to do with the 10lbs of ground beef I have
Smoked picnic shoulder was on sale at Superstore this week, and I LOVE ham, so picked one up. I soaked it about seven hours during the day after cutting much of the fat off, trying to soak out some of the salt. Then I put it into my pressure cooker. It took much longer than I thought it would, but after putting it in longer, it was very tender (although more salty than I wanted, would soak it more next time). I put a maple/mustard glaze on it after it was done and put it under the broiler to brown.
Husband had leftover veggie soup, then I made him six eggs over easy, he eats it with bread. I had two eggs with toast.
need to figure out what to pull out for the bbq tonight? steak? Whole chicken? Will see what my wonderful man feels like. Salad for sure. Have so much romaine, cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes from garden.
seems I was in a cooking mood today! Made a killer borscht at 7:30 a.m. then just made the most tender deep fried chicken breast pieces ever!
( they are a tad smaller than a chicken ball ) I pan sauteed the pieces first so they would be mostly cooked before battering them up. This time I seasoned all the pieces first with my homemade citrus powder ( made from grinding dehydrated lemon/orange peel ) and when I made the batter I used Bud Light Apple beer as the liquid, beaten egg, cornstarch base, some baking powder, and a handful of coconut flour.
agh!!! I cannot stop eating them!!
Too hot to cook in the house so Hubby BBQ chicken pieces with baked potatoes and grilled veggies.
We had a deli style dinner... potato salad, mac & cheese salad, shaved roast beef & turkey and a caesar salad.
Danish meatballs, potatoes, gravy, pickled beets, peas and fried zucchini :P
I didn't have breakfast or lunch, but for supper had a schnitzel and a smokie. Husband had ribs.
Hours later, realize that I shouldn't have eaten anything except maybe soda crackers.... must just be a tummy bug.
Last night's supper was home made cheese buns and leftovers. I later had a big salad with a glass of milk.
Today I am roasting a picnic ham. Will probably have it with pineapple, milk, and some other stuff.
I'm going to BBQ tonight. I'm not very good @ it, but …

DH and I had a Caesar salad with, kids had cooked carrots. btw has anyone tried the muffins from FreshCo?? Oh wow!! Tbh, they should be called cupcakes. The flavours were pumpkin/cream cheese filled and Toffee Caramel filled. They were priced at $1.25 for a six pack.....that was dessert for the guys while I drooled on the sidelines.

Last night was rice, Indian curry, Indian eggplant, and a cucumber and tomato salad.
Tonight I'm using the leftover hamburger meat and the Boursin and cream cheese mixture I have to make a creamy sauce and serve over noodles.
I'm too lazy to cook tonight so we're having Quiznos.
leftover pizza
Cold here, so a nice hearty slowcooker concoction - steak strips, carrots, celery, cabbage in leftover dark ginger ale (yes, lately I've been using whatever liquid is around, then correct the seasoning), with a packet of french onion soup mix and garlic - and will add a can of mushroom soup to cream it up. Will serve over penne rigate.
It's not quite down but it worked well - we have a whole pile 'o beef which aren't exactly tender cuts, and weren't labelled (husband bought them from a friend just starting a Halal butcher's shop) - so I see the slowcooker is a good way to use the meat.
leftovers..
Chicken and beef Kabobs, rice and Broccoli.
