The weather has improved drastically so tonight BBQ ribs, baked potatoes and grilled veggies.
BBQing burgers before the rain comes!
2 freid eggs, slice of toast with avocado
mini blueberry pie/
Tonight I made fish sticks and French fries, but I'm still hungry.
Last night's dinner was rice, with pork, onion, peppers (with sweet and sour sauce) and green beans on the side. It was really good. And I have leftovers for my lunch today :)
Tonight- I pulled a homemade mac and cheese from the freezer so youngest DS will have that for sure but others may have leftover chicken etc from the other night.
I plan on making sweet and sour meatballs with rice tonight. I made 400 ground beef meatballs one evening this spring, in preparation for when the twins arrive. So they are already cooked and in the freezer.
I made turkey drumsticks last night, and put some potatoes into my pressure cooker with the timer before I left this morning, so they should be done when I get home. Also have some leftover sweet potato.
Husband will have leftover chili and pasta, plus leftover burgers if he wants.
For me, chicken breast baking in oven with lemon juice and thyme - might make a wrap with it, not sure.
Added - ended up making two wraps, one on a tomato tortilla, the other plain. Didn't have exciting ingredients to add - just onion, lettuce, and mayo - BUT it tastes better than anything you can get in a FF place.
LOVE the Co-op marketplace wraps/tortillas - they are so good and BOGO this week.
BBQ steak on a bun with mushrooms and onions, potato salad and a tossed salad.
It has been raining all day and the temperature cooled down a lot too. Hubby made butternut squash soup. Yummy :)
sunflower seeds spoiled my appetite
so i only did a toast with 1/2 avocado and kumato
Wednesday is the only evening that dh will be home this week, so we'll have some time and he can help with our young children. I'm going to make waffles, breakfast sausage, and a combination of sliced fresh fruit (apple, orange, pear from NF sale), and milk.
Thursday is the start of our son's fall gymnastics class. I'm going to make chicken and mushroom Alfredo with pasta. We will also have fresh French bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip. Fresh broccoli and milk.
Tonight we're going to have pulled pork tacos. I've got the pork in the slow cooker now.
It's a horrible, windy, rainy day here...wish I had planned to do some baking & cooking for the freezer, maybe later!! If we don't lose the power I might make macaroni & cheese using white cheddar and see if it works...:)
Tonight will be burgers on the bbq with leftovers! (Homemade mac and cheese, corn on the cob, sliced cucumbers)
Last night I wasn`t feeling very well. I was outside in the cold (it went from 27 this weekend to single digits yesterday :( ) working on my car. So once I was mobile again, I ordered some pasta. Mushroom Gnocchi and Angelhair Carbonara. My first time having gnocchi and it was great, very light and airy and both were very generously covered in sauce. Just what I needed! I passed out in a carb comma shortly after that and had a great sleep. Feeling much much better today.
I just got an email from our butcher/deli for 800ml of butter chicken for $13. Another cold weather comfort food, that will feed two of us easily. Just have to throw some rice in the rice cooker and I can take another night off cooking to continue my fall cleaning and purging.
Pizza night, veggie for me and loaded for my DH.
Spaghetti and garlic toast.
Back ribs done in the oven with homemade BBQ sauce; layered potatoes/onion casserole; coleslaw.
open face toated tuna sandwcih and sm salad.
hubby made chicken taco using taco time seasoning package - we prefer this brand over old el paso unless I have coupons for old el paso
