Tonight we made rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and carrots. Save 2 pieces of chicken for wraps for DS's lunch tomorrow.
made room in the freezer today by clearing out the romas and getting sauce made. While that was simmering all day I got busy making meatballs, I used some honey garlic sausage meat ( removed the casings ) mixed with the extra lean beef, got 25 fairly large meatballs. Boiled up 2 boxes of rainbow coloured Penne.
Cooked up 2 bags of the frozen perogies, as well as these interesting GT pork ribs ( Brand name 44th Street and the sale price was $7.00 for a 600 gr box ) First time I've bought these and Wow! the guys could not believe how tender they were and great flavour too.
The Jays blew it so I came up after the 3rd inning and started with the sauce, mixed up the Penne, made a large lasagna and froze the remaining in containers. Let's hope no one asks " is there anything to eat ? " I might lose it!

.. bbq'd prime rib this evening, ran out of propane on the big bbq, but never fear the hibachi was near :) ..so finished it on that...had with it baked potato, mushrooms, corn on the cob, salad, bruschetta, (okay, also a hot dog..lol,,appetizer) bake apple cheesecake for dessert, made it myself, it was soooo good....
Honestly, I swear it was all just as good today for supper - we all had our fill, and there was still lots for our son to take home for a few meals. It's a very generous restaurant - all containers are full to bulging, and the food in more open-type containers comes overflowing. But we don't only get it for the big portions, it's awesome food too!
I planned tonight's supper and dh cooked it while I cared for our fussy twins.
Mashed red potatoes from the garden, pork steak in mushroom sauce, boiled mixed yellow beans, green beans, baby carrots, and a big glass of milk.
I don't know what we will be eating for supper tomorrow night. I haven't pulled anything out of the freezer yet.
I surveyed the fridge when I got up today to see what was left of all the stuff I had made ahead yesterday. :icon_scratch:
It was limited so made up 12 chicken thighs as a backup. ( the place is still smelling like chicken ) Oh and that day it was freezing out ( was it Sunday ? ) .....I actually picked about 40 long ( almost too long ) green beans from out back! How can those 2 plants still produce beans? I love it! I snipped the ends, cut them in small 1/2 " pieces and boiled till just tender, I am blown away at how lovely and bright green and they tasted perfectly fine. Next year I am making 3 plants of those!! ( :sweet: I just love green beans )
Tonight is Taco Tuesday! Made the taco meat last night so just heat and eat tonight! No messy kitchen for me tonight :)
Last night we ended up having sliced chicken breast with bacon and cheese on toast with a oven fries.
Tonight who knows, Mom doesn't work until 5:30 so she said she would make something and leave it in the fridge for me, really who can turn down an offer like that?

Pork side ribs (they are a very odd cut we got several months ago, and are not great, so just wanted to use this second package of them up) - but they are good the way I sauce and cook them, along with roasted diced potatoes and peas. Probably some salad for me as well.

Got a large portion of beef and vegetable chow fun (stir fried broad rice noodles) and had half left over for lunch tomorrow. Also got some chinese baked desserts from the restaurant for snacking later tonite :D
Tonight I'll try the tuna casserole from m&m. However I won a $25 subway gift card from a local radio station on twitter. Probably go there Fri night after work. ;)
