leftovers
..the fog rolled in yesterday evening so the cabbage won...I made a large pan of cabbage hash and it turned out so good, will taste even better today so lots of leftovers for this evening, no cooking :)
I always make this Kraft recipe (but use white rice instead of brown and use whatever I have on hand i.e. tomato sauce or tomato soup, and I sautee the cabbage first for 20-30mins etc) :

Last night I did not get in until after 6:30 as our out of town event ran later then anticipated so it was Sausage on a Bun
Tonight is a mystery but thinking something simple it has been a long week
Not sure yet for tonight because apparently no kids will be home. But my honey may have to work late so I may be solo for dinner. Should pull a bottle of wine from the wine cellar at least :)
Thanks :) You too! Back in my sisters single days she would eat popcorn or a bowl of cereal lol. I use to cook a nice meal when it was just myself but my honey is such a great cook and spoils me so now I will just eat something simple and wait for him with the wine chilling :)
I just eaten fish in my dinner
Order in Chinese tonight, not sure what yet but i'm sure it will be delicious.
Beer and wings :)
I napped through lunch, so just had eggs over easy on toast.
Husband isn't feeling great, so I will see if he will eat something later - maybe eggs or soup.
Spaghetti and garlic bread
hot dogs on the grill
Chicken legs, rice and veggies tonight. If it were up to my DH, we would have chicken for dinner every night..
Totally forgot to take out Chicken for dinner when the power came back on (didn't take it out earlier as was worried we might not get power back in time for dinner) So now dinner is
Baked Sausage (they were already defrosted)
Homemade Mac & Cheese
Salad with Homemade Dressing
...copying kawam's dinner, wings & beer (and eggrolls & springrolls) :)
I usually buy beer with mountains but the Canadian Light now has the Stanley Cup rings, got Calgary!! yay!! Too bad they're not in the playoffs
Chinese food. Noodles, and rice and chicken parts
and other unidentifiable good stuff.
leftover KFC, homemade potato wedges, coleslaw, corn
Steaks, potatoes and corn on the cob on the barbecue.
...making a pizza, yup its Sunday so leftover touton dough (I buy this large bag of dough for $2.69 and its the best dough ever and good for a few+ toutons and 2 pizzas :) )...tomato sauce, oregano, ham, pepperoni, salami, onions, mushrooms, pineapple and spinach :) I don't have mozzarella so using white cheddar
Was up super early so made Homemade Burgers for supper. Will serve the burgers with tossed salad and blueberry crisp. DH's favorite :) Found a large bag of blueberries I picked last summer in the freezer. I have been doing a good job of using up items in the freezer. Sure saves money when I do this :) The meals I've invented. LOL.
Organized the Pantry now off to clean out the fridge. Usually do this every Wednesday ( day before garbage day ) but was one of those weeks :)
Will get it ready for the week. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday :)
Roast Chicken and potatoes, broccoli , stuffing and gravy.
KD and hotdogs. Also a blueberry smoothie.
Had to google toutons - yum - what do you use on top of yours!
Son over for supper tonight - last time he was here, he noticed something on the pantry shelf and asked Is that what I think it is? Yes, it was - jumbo pasta shells.
So tonight I made pyrohy shells, which he absolutely adores, and I don't make them often.
I made M&M Italian meatballs - hadn't gotten them before, and after I did them in the oven they were way too herby for our taste, so I made an onion, garlic, and mushroom sauce for them to go in, and that was def better - you could still taste the herbs, but they weren't so overpowering.
We also had a big salad with the above, GK dressing.
We went to Subway for their 3 foot longs for $19.99 Sunday special.
my mom made pho then called me over. She had everything packed up waiting for me so i didn't have to make dinner. Gotta love moms!
