I made bbq ribs...boiled the ribs until tender and then finished them off on the bbq with sauce. Served with rice and green beans.

Prob leftovers for dinner. I am more excited for lunch at Crabby Joe's! Don't eat out often but when I do I feel like a little girl all over again!

I'm finally feeling good enough to make an actual meal for my dh today. Not sure what it's going to be yet, but I'll invest some time in it today, maybe a nice roast beef dinner for him.

Last night I made a hot and sour soup and it was DELISH!!!
Leftovers for tonight but I stocked up (and I mean STCOKED UP) on groceries yesterday in the US.
One of my BIL's had a heartattack on Friday afternoon/evening and we went to visit him in the hospital and since we were down there we did a big shop. Now I don't have to shop until the new year!!!
The upcoming meals will be roasted whole chicken, turkey meatballs, more hot and sour soup , butter chicken,etc.... the list goes on and on

I never used to boil them, but awhile back tried it for half an hour before the oven/grill. Good results, did it again last night! After boiling, I did a rub of brown sugar, chipotle powder, minced garlic, mustard powder, salt and pepper, brush with bbq sauce toward the end and put on broil Yum!
I LOVE hot and sour soup, care to share your recipe?

I tried brussel sprouts again awhile back, after declaring them icky about 20+ years ago. I'm afraid I wasn't able to convince myself (or my family) that they were edible!

Tonight is a smorgasbord at my aunts house (used to be at my Nannie's but she is 83, lives on her own still and is battling cancer for the third time in her life, so we changed venues and now she just needs to show up, chauffeured style). There are about 40 of us there and counting (lots of the grandchildren (25 - 35 y/o) have baby bumps). So we have ham, roast beef and pork loin because we all end up having turkey tomorrow. Then, carrots, potatoes, squash, turnip, peas, bread/rolls. And the sweets! We end up with an entire table of sweets (I made Skor bar squares... my Mom made strawberry shortbread squares... who knows what else will be there, but loads of pies!). The only thing that sucks is it's an hour and a half drive each way.

Last night was a delish stew
I also made 60+ turkey meatballs and have enough turkey leftover for close to another 60 but will make some hot and sour soup with it.
Tonight will be an early dinner/late lunch and I will make bacon, eggs, waffles and hashbrowns when my mom gets off work. She loves bacon and it's always gone before she gets home.
