We just had taco salad for supper. We rarely eat this, so it was nice for a change vs regular tacos.
Two Juicy Jumbo dogs with a generous serving of rosemary roasted butternut squash casserole. Banana loaf cake (some pieces) for dessert. Will have tea soon.
Today I decided start getting things done for Christmas.. my first thing on list was get Eggs in pickle .. longer their in pickle better they taste .. so I was mood for egg sandwich afterwards .. ohhh it was so good been while since I had one
last night was an easy night, i made hot dogs (didnt have dog buns so i used hamburger buns, cut the dogs in two and we were good to go)
Tonight im making meat loaf with mashed and carmelized carrots, salad, gravy and Yorkshire pudding. Dessert im making Key Lime Pie later on.
Since we have lots of soup leftovers, we'll be having those tonight. Pasta e fagioli and chicken & wild rice.
Beef short ribs, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. Angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert.
..my party was great, good time for sure..my head only hurts a little..getting ready to watch football, dinner will be simple..maybe chicken fingers and/or nachos. I have chili to go with the nachos..gallons of water and probably a diet coke :)
^ Oh, I love a good fruitcake, too. I really miss my mom's; one of my sisters makes an amazing one, but I doubt she made any this year since her husband is very ill. Hoping to pick one up at a bake sale this year - cuz the store bakery ones just don't cut it...
Supper tonight - ah, my husband is making schnitzel :love: (love both him, and his schnitzel!) It's been a while since he's done it.
I'll make mashed potatoes, with cooked peas and carrots to go with.
Tonight was homemade Mac & Cheese

Hi keljo .. yes .. we always pickle herring.. since my dad pass away almost 3 years November 27 .. I just haven't had what it takes do any since .. something we done together every year .. always made sure we had enough for Good Friday dinner and Christmas Eve for dinner.. Newfie tradition at our home .. my Grandmother always pickle cabbage... have you ever tried cabbage??

I guess I'm going to your house for Christmas Eve dinner...lol..we always have baked salted cod fish. Our stories are similar, my dad passed away a couple of years ago and he was the one that did the herring for us. I haven't tried pickle cabbage, I've had salted cabbage but I don't think that's the same.
Apparently there is chili in fridge, not usually a fan but will mix with some pasta and there is dinner and no need to cook :top:
Just placed 2 fresh whole chickens into a roast pan ( ty FreshCo sale!! each bird was $6.50 ) will make cooked carrots and fresh green beans for sides. Making dinner early in case I doze off later....ha ha
We anticipated having the leftover soup yesterday but we were still full from a late lunch... so soup is on the menu tonight. And maybe some garlic bread.
Not sure exactly what we are having for supper tonight. I pulled out a small package of moose steaks for Dh to fry up. I'm sick and currently waiting at the doctor's office, so we'll see what I feel up to cooking later.
Well I took out beef to make homemade burgers and serve with Greek salad. But he will be home late from work so Chinese it is! Burgers tomorrow night :)
Last night my honey made rotisserie chicken with homemade potato wedges and canned corn (we are out of green beans it seems!)

gonna make fried rice with whatever in the fridge (rice, chinese sausages, snap peas, frozen veggies medley, ground pork, shrimp, mushroom) and i think that's all i can put in this dish lol
