Tonight was going to be BBQ chicken breasts...but I was so flustered when I got home last night that I forgot to put them in the fridge...didn't discover that until this morning. Grrr.

We're having Idli & Sambhar -- that's Indian food.
You can see in the picture below (that's not my pic btw)
The white patties are steamed and made out of primarily rice flour. And there's lentil soup which is spicy with a kick. And you eat it with chutneys - coconut or mint.
Yummm!
For those of you who like Indian food, it's a definite must try :)

Meatballs, tomato sauce, and spaghetti. Tried the Healthy Harvest spaghetti - was okay, won't buy it again. I missed the plumpness of regular, evil spaghetti. However, will continue to use the HH other shaped pastas for other uses.
Today for supper will be Ukrainian toast and bacon.
This Saturday BF and I had the pleasure of being taken out for dinner by some friends he helped out. e went to Alioli's an Italian Resturant. They ordered antipastos which consisted of mozzarella stuffed perschuto, Cajun shrimp, roasted peppers, eggplant and zucchini, calamari, tomatoes with mozzarella and salad.
For dinner I had the grilled salmon crusted with some kind of almonds and topped with a lemon dill cream sauce and it came with lobster mashed potatoes and veggies. BF had the linguine with lobster, shrimp, scallops in a lemon dill pesto sauce. For dessert i had the pecan caramel crusted cheese cake Mmmm and BF had the Chocolate Bomb warm soufle with a ganach filling inside and a vanilla gelato on the side.
The food was amazing...I am drooling thinking about it!
Oh and forgot...today we will be having Quiznos bc the stove is still not fixed...BF called today to ask when and guess what...the technician that came, he FORGOT to place a service order so they did today...its been 1 week without a stove and we will have to wait probably another. So aggravated!
Last night was "International Night" at our house. Just a fancey name for leftovers. DH had pizza and the leftover mediterranen pasta(which tasted amazing!) and I had a Danish open faced sammy of sliced tomatoes with 2 cloves of freshly crushed garlic a bit of mayo and S&P on rye bread!. I stunk but it helps with being sick. I have to have another today for either lunch or dinner too.
I have no idea what to make for DH. Maybe homemade chicken noodle soup???

Wow, these meals all sound so good. My plans changed because I hurt my knee. Had M&M jumbo wings (gosh they are good, such a great coating and flavour!), with leftover potatoes and carrots, leftover spaghetti and a lovely garden salad.
Today I had a BBQ chicken bistro crustini and a Canadian maple doughnut for dinner! lol that's what happens when you get home at 6pm and still have to wash laundry.
Last night I made broiled T Bone steaks (they are on sale at Loblaws for an amazing price!) topped with mushrooms and onions with a white wine reduction. The sides were wild rice and vegetables. For dessert I made dark chocolate mousse. It was delicious!
