Wow, you are so lucky to have a saskatoon bush! We haven't gotten any yet this year. Oh, and raspberries - I would eat as I picked, like I used to do when I was a kid!

Quiche tarts (cheese and chives) for supper today - just took them out of the oven after 10, house smells amazing! I wasn't going to put the oven on in the late afternoon, it's so hot here. Will serve with a salad and crudites/dip.

I have one of those men as well... whenever it's his turn to cook it's generally take out
Okay, that's not true, but he's much more apt to shirk his cooking duties than I am.

My saskatoon bush has been loaded with berries the past two years. They are huge in size, but not as sweet as the ones that grow in Saskatchewan. Are your bushes young?

Raspberries are definitely one of my faves. By end of season I only have a bagful in the freezer because the rest are eaten for everyday snacks

I cooked a roast beef early this morning so as not to heat the house any further with the warm weather. From the roast, I'm going to do beef dip with potato salad thats left over from the other night.

Sadly, we don't have our own saskatoons - we have to beg or buy them. My sister's family has a 'hidden/secret' place they go in the country, so I sometimes get some from her. People guard their locations pretty closely here!
