janetta, your soup looks amazing, I love the colour, and your pic's are always spot on. I know your really into photog, what type of camera do you have? I've got a rebel T3i, but I don't like the colours of the pics.

I don't have photoshop or anything like that, is there one that is user friendly and a free download that you know of? I know off topic, but every time I see your pic's, it makes me drop my mouth and want an invite to your house for dinner, lol.

I'm thinking today I will cook a roast beef. Since the weather starts getting quite hot tomorrow for several days, I figured if I made a big roast, I could do a few quick meals afterwards. Maybe a beef dip, a beef and barly soup, a stuffed potato (stuffed with meat and veggies). After that, I think we'll be tired of roast beef.

Thats it, you guys have talked me into it! Tonights dinner will be roast beef, garlic and thyme mashed potatoes, roasted beets and squash with garlic, thyme as fresh sage, and a nice balsamic glazed carrots. Of coarse I'll make some sort of buns today too, maybe like a ciabatta so I can use the rolls for the beef dip tomorrow too.

if i get my butt in gear going to put pork chops into the crock. then cut up some wee potatoes with some onions and garlic and let it saute. hope i can find some veggies.

on a side note..if you take potatoes and wrap them in tin foil and put them in a crock pot for 8 hours. they WILL taste just like baked potatoes that you get off the grill!

I never buy these but they happened to be on sale and my kids think they are fun. So it's fun Friday supper.

    Thanks hollyquaiscer!
I use a T2i! One camera behind yours.
What don't you like about the colours of your photos? Is there a blue or orange cast in them? Not bright enough? Not enough contrast?
See, I use Photoshop CS5 to do a bit of touching up and editing.
Due to the sun going down super early now, I don't have natural light to work with. I LOVE NATURAL NIGHT. I MISS IT.
I've resorted to using the under cabinet lighting, lol. Using what I have, since there's no way I'm going to have dinner done by 4pm.

As for free photo editing software, I did a little Googling and found this: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pix...eephotoedw.htm
She lists 10 programs you can download. Perhaps one of them will suit you

I had authentic Mexican food for lunch and am about to enjoy authentic Thailand food. I have a feeling I'll regret this for the next few hours!

We had french toast casserole for dinner tonight. It was just french bread with an egg mixture over the bread and then a pecan topping. It was really tasty and easy!

Tonight was meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn. I use onion soup mix in the meatloaf, but tonight got a little crazy and also mixed in some garlic cream cheese and covered it in strips of bacon. It turned out really good.

    mmmm... bacon!

Last night supper was fend-for-yourself and we all ate at different times, very different for us - son made cheese and bologna sammies in the sandwich maker; husband had sardines and onion with bread; I had eggs on toast.
