I have a family pack of ground beef thawing in the fridge. Plan on making it into meat balls or lasagne. It has been years since I made lasagne, but I did buy all of the ingredients on sale.

Found a new to me recipe for slow cooker pot roast. Going to give it try as I am making bread for back to school lunches today and need the oven free. Has any one made this before? It is 1 package brown gravy mix, 1 package ranch dressing and one package of Italian dressing mix. Put a 4-6 pound roast in the slow cooker, mix seasoning packages together and sprinkle on roast and pour 1/2 cup of water in and cook 7-9 hours on low. Usually not my type of cooking but looks easy. I am thinking it could be very salty though!!

I have done something similar before...I recall it being salty...but we like salt. I have not done in one like that in a while, since DD had her Celiac diagnosis. We often experiment with roasts in the slow cooker and have never had one taste bad...you just may not have to add salt to season when eating.
