Takeout last night from a great Chinese place at a mall food court (yes, they exist!). Had honey garlic chicken, bbq pork in an amazing sauce, broccoli and bok choy, noodles, and a few dry garlic boneless ribs - oh, and my son and I shared a spring roll. Son had spicier veggies than me, and husband just ate ribs and bread, as usual, lol!
I have more than enough left over for lunch today, son ate all of his, but will probably take the leftover ribs for lunch today.
It's funny, when my son goes to pick it up, there's one older lady who moves others aside so she can serve him, and fills the containers so full she often has to put an elastic on them to close them!Last edited by Natalka; Fri, Jan 11th, 2013 at 07:04 AM.

dinner confession: the moment your fiancé makes an easy dinner but you're so ravenous that you gobble WAY TOO MUCH of it up (barely even stop long enough to breathe, let alone realize when you're full!). Now I lay on the couch groaning in pain for being a glutton, and thinking how what I ate could have probably fed two people... self-inflicted stomach pain sucks.

chicken strips and fries with burger king zesty dipping sauce that I took home from when I had supper out there last weekend...I wish I could buy that stuff at the grocery store because it's the only reason I like BK so much! Onion rings with zesty dipping sauce!

Steamed brussels sprouts with some grated cheddar cheese, and a baked potato. I was rushed as I had to work tonight.

Have an inside round beef roast, potatoes and carrots in the slow cooker. Will make broccoli later.
2lb inside round roast: $5.88
Potatoes: $1 (or so)
Broccoli: $2
Carrots: $1
Spices: pennies
For less than $10, we will have enough for dinner, with leftovers, and absolutely no effort. Can you tell I love slow cookers?!

DH requested the lazy cabbage again, he even picked up a giant head of cabbage for $1.00 last night. I am using the modified version with no salt tomatoes and ground chicken in the recipe. It's nice to make it just the one way now that he's joined me on the diet.

I am having leftover chicken cacciatore & I will cook up some egg noodles. Enough for a serving for one. The male members of this household are on their own & are in my bad books today.
When someone has to be asked 6 times to put away a drill....yikes!
When your 24 year old son returns home at 3:22am & has forgot to take his key after you have reminded him a couple of times...yikes to that too.
