made a " mixture " the other day that has served me as a lunch item, a snack and a dinner side dish. Mmmmm It started out sort of as a 3 bean salad ( like a cold thing, I used canned red and white kidney beans, and some chick peas ) but when I added cooked quinoa, fresh green onions from out back and some olive oil, seasonings and some raspberry Vinaigrette I could not stop eating it! Not everyone here loves chick peas, too bad, so sad, more for me!

Last night we ended up staying home but ordering pizza, my headache I thought I finally got rid of seems to be back so I did not have it within me to fight the decision on pizza. One of these days I will get our take out under control.
Now we need to go out tonight and more stops have been added so we will have to grab something on the go.

Last night was chicken souvlaki on the bbq, with grilled yellow zucchini (picked up a ton of zucchini on the weekend from the farmers market), roasted new baby potatoes (again from the farmers market).
Tonight will be a grilled chicken ceaser salad.

Turkey! Yup, I picked up the 1.99/lb sale @ The independent yesterday; going to be making turkey pot pies {for the freezer}, fried rice {for the freezer}, and of course going to eat with mashed potatoes, corn, homemade stuffing, brussel sprouts and carrots, and turkey gravy (this is what we will eat tonight).

Awesome! A full turkey dinner is my dream meal!
Glad there is a/c in the kitchen because I don't mind having the oven on - so in a big roaster there are chicken pieces, potatoes, lots of garlic cloves, and two sliced onions - lots of herbs and spices. Needed a liquid so instead of water, I used some pomegranate/blackberry juice (why not?). Will serve with cucumber and onions in sour cream for the men, and just in vinegar for me.

..yesterday the ambulance made it to St Johns around 1:00 pm, things got really hectic for a few hours so at this point my grandmother needs to have her leg amputated from above the knee down Its possible the surgey might happen today if not it will be Saturday. They were fasting her after midnight last night so possible it could be this afternoon. In between everything we all went to Jungle Jims for dinner, Wednesday being wing nite...if nan does have the operation today I won't be going far from the hospital for the next couple of days...
