..my slow cooker chicken turned out excellent, the melted butter helped crisp the skin and the chicken was cooked perfect, it was moist & succulent!! leftovers for today with corn on the cobb and caesar salad

Hmmmm crisp skin on a chicken from the crock pot, going to have to try the butter idea. Thanks KelJo

Came home to stuffed zucchini boats, I am amazed at how well they came out.

leftover chicken soup - then whatever each of us wants to do with chicken bits and stuff. I had roasted the breast separately, so I'll probably make a sandwich. Husband likes the stuff around the bones, skin, etc. so he usually just eats that with bread.

Tonight the 9pc sushi sampler from M&M Food market. Normally $8.49 but on sale for $6.49. Was good and the wasabi kicked my butt lol. I actually bought 3 on sale but don't really think it's worth it even at the sale price. It was good but not for the price. I often can get the 18pc sushi boat from metro for $7.99 which is a much better deal.

When I was I Japan I learned that real wasabi (fresh from the wasabi root) is not as hot as we get here which is generally from a paste or powder. Good thing you have the clippers since hot hot wasabi will grow hair on ya!!

Lol, I wish I could go to Japan but I have done my share of traveling. Germany, south america and few places in canada and US. I always wish I could do more but then realize I have done more than a lot of people and am grateful for where I have been.

Never been to South America but love Germany. Food, beer, fräuleins I have a map on my wall with pins in all the locations I travelled. Still lots of places to go ... someday

Anyway that trip to Columbia was crazy lol. I went with my dad when I was in high school and I told someone I'm going to Columbia for march break and was nervous and excited. He's like what's the big deal it's just BC, and I'm like no, south america. On the way back both the pilot and co pilot were pulled into customs because they each had 200lbs of coffee they were dragging behind them. While I'm thinking geez that's crazy, my dad gets flagged by customs. They were almost going to deport him on the spot to Germany because he forgot his landed immigrant papers at home and only had his German passport. Then they looked at my passport and said to my dad: You're lucky your son has the same last name as you and holds a Canadian passport. We'll let you by this time but next time don't forget your papers.
