On the way back both the pilot and co pilot were pulled into customs because they each had 200lbs of coffee they were dragging behind them. While I'm thinking geez that's crazy, my dad gets flagged by customs. They were almost going to deport him on the spot to Germany because he forgot his landed immigrant papers at home and only had his German passport. Then they looked at my passport and said to my dad: You're lucky your son has the same last name as you and holds a Canadian passport. We'll let you by this time but next time don't forget your papers.
    Close call indeed!

Yeah I saved his butt lol. Craziest thing though was every floor of our hotel had an armed guard with a machine gun with finger pretty much on the trigger ready to go. At first when I got off the elevator I said hi to one of the guards and he nodded to me. Also I always saw pickup trucks going around the city filled with guys in fatigues.

Homemade cabbage rolls from the freezer, right from the bakery buns and salad. Blueberry muffin for dessert.

Sounds good @dededi - I haven't made cabbage rolls for a VERY long time; well over 10 years.
    Maybe it's time again.

@22hicks we love our cabbage rolls, a little time consuming to make but well worth it.

I know. It just seems such a waste of time for just me, and there's so many, most of them would be headed for the freezer. But saying all that, I do like them, so maybe.

Shell pasta cooked with mixed veggies; sauce from cream of mushroom soup, margarine, s+p, garlic. Easy-peasy, but yummers.

..it was a lot of food day..for dinner I had a chicken wrap & salad..then I went to neighbors and there was so much food, ribs, moose burgers, moose sausage, etc, I don't like moose much but I tasted everything and it was all excellent..then we all went to another friends house and a lot of seafood on the menu.. mussels & sea clams, etc...so big 4 would be enough for clam linguine..delish!!
