We were invited out for supper to celebrate a friend's birthday, but she didn't pick a family friendly place, so we had to hire a babysitter. Dh and I will be going out to Mr. Mikes, the newest place in our small city. I'll cook fish sticks, French fries, and veggies for our kids and the babysitter.
edit: That was an expensive meal out, and was overall disappointing. My entire meal was very salty. Dh only had 2 onion rings with his steak sandwich and the portions were small. Even the birthday girl was surprised that she wasn't full after eating her steak dinner, she ordered dessert.Last edited by Angela273; Fri, Aug 18th, 2017 at 10:06 AM.

Son was over to help me out, so he did some shopping and picked up BK on the way back here. I was able to have a few bites of a Whopper, and almost 1/2 a poutine (though I gave him all the cheese).

Leftover burgers for kids and I made a nice salad. I am off beef for awhile. Not agreeing with me.

Last night I roasted Turkey Drumsticks, with a Berbere rub, indirect on the BBQ. We had couscous salad and steamed asparagus with it.
Tonight I am planning grilled chicken, BBQ'd perogies and a Caesar salad.

Tonight at 8pm I was at food basics and they reduced their hot ready to go chicken. Got a 1/2 ready to go cooked chicken for $2.39. I just ate it with rice.

DW made an amazing Squash Soup, with frozen squash chunks, and a really delicious grilled cheese sandwich with Jalapeno Havarti Cheese! All so filling! We sat outside this evening eating and watching the fire in our fire-pit!
