Trade rates for stamps, bundles, sdm & gc
:top:I want to start this thread to help out all those that are not sure what the value of their coupons may be. I found this a tough thing when I first started and I have explained it to a few newbies also. please fell free to add to it or "challenge" nicely anything.
TYPES OF COUPON TRADES
--$ for $ is just that. This is where the total dollar amount(value) of the coupons you send out matches the dollar amount (value) of the coupons you get in return. If you send $10.50 in coupons you will get back $10.50 in coupons in the trade. --Give or take a little.
--coupon for coupon is where you trade the # of coupons for the same number of coupons in return. If you trade 6 coupons then you should get 6 coupons back.
--bundle trade, someone offers a "bundle" of coupons, usually predetermined and sets a trade amount for that bundle. It could be SDM ( Shoppers Drug Mart) points, a GC (gift card) stamps or coupons that they are looking for. If you agree to trade for a bundle you usually are agreeing to the asking trade price for that bundle. In some cases you may be able to choose coupons off a list to make your own bundle up.
--ROAK (random act of kindness) one SC'er (or more) doing something nice for another. Sending something off a wish list, giving a free bundle out, sending a book of stamps etc. This is doing something for someone else expecting nothing in return. Often anonymously.

AND
25-50 SDM points per $1 for regular coupons.
75 points for HV per $ worth.
100 points for FPC's per $ worth.
NOTE TO NEWBIES- in some cases you may be asked to send your side of a trade ahead first and when the trade arrives your half will be sent to you. THIS IS NOT TO BE RUDE OR TO IMPLY THAT YOU CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. This is because some people at SC have been"cheated" out of their end of a trade and lost valuable coupons or money (ie GC's). If you are just starting out, expect that you may have to prove you can be trusted to hold your end of a trade up. Sooner than you realize you will be helping out a "newbie" with their First trade.
This is only a guideline. NOT THE RULES. There have been a few wonderful people at SC who have helped me with this type of thing and hopefully this can help someone else. PLEASE ADD TO THIS THREAD, lets help each other out.
