Okay, VIArail'ing to T.O %50 off.. now I gotta find accomodations. Never booked a hotel/B&B by myself... is there a certain way to get a deal? When my mother and I went to Montreal we went to the tourism centre and booked a VIP suite for 60% off.. Is that common?

Ryerson does that too - check http://www.neill-wycik.com/ (click Summer Hotel) - rates as low as $38.25/night for a single private room, and I think it includes breakfast.
Open a Tangerine bank account (formerly ING ) using my Orange Key (14507658S1), deposit $100 and we both get $25! Right now, receive up to $150 in bonuses and earn 2.50% interest!

Are you over 50? If so there is a great club called the Evergreen Club. It's called a bed and breakfast club. You pay $75 US per year to join but then receive a hugh book of addresses all over the US and Canada of people who are willing to put you (and a companion) up for $15 per night and that includes breakfast! - You have to promise to offer accommodation if someone calls you - but you call the shots and if you are busy or not able to help on a certain date, then no one cares, they just call the next number. We've never had anyone call but we've stayed in Washington, DC, Sedona, Arizona, all kinds of places in Florida and also in Michigan and Ontario - all for $15 per night and a chance to get to know some great people who also love to travel. check evergreenclub.com.

Do it on Priceline. It's the best. Bid for it instead of booking it through the set price in the site.

2nd on Priceline....I've never paid more than $50 a 4 star in downtown Toronto. My parking usually costs more!
