Went to my local WM to do some grocery shopping. Went to the check-out and spotted 2 of my Fav. cashiers working side by side. I picked the shortest line and all of a sudden heard MY Cashier say " Are you doing coupons today?" Of course I thought here were go........
Long story short WM was training 3 new cashiers and my cashier wondered if I would mind being a customer they ALL learned from as she said I always have lots of coupons and know how to shop.
I laid all my products on the belt, placed my coupons with each product and stood back to wait. (I had 4 items that I did not use coupons on, 3 were Clearance
) My cashier trained the other 3 and went over expiry dates, stacking, rules, etc. Of course I also had Price matching--Dibbs for $1.99 whoo hoo-- I had a few BOGO's, B3G1 ,free wub , GC purchase and a SCOP. The trainees learned everything. It took 25 mins for me to get through.
I LEARNED that WM has a sticky policy that if a sticky is on a product in WM and the sticky coupon has expired than WM will still Honor that coupon. Bonus thing to know. This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by big-red-dog#2; Thu, Jun 18th, 2009 at 05:27 PM.

You should add cashier training to your resume ! It could be a whole new career.I think we all know stores where the cashiers could benefit from training like this

Believe it or not, I used to be a CS Manager @ Sobeys, Back when it was Garden Market IGA.
I did stacking as in..
Bought 2 Kellogg's cereals. Used B2S$2 on "one box", on the second box I used a
.75 Foot Loop coupon.
This is not LD stacking but the best we can get in Ontario.

sticky is the "stick on" coupons that are applied directly to a product. They are the ones you can peel off.

Very cool.
-
Thu, Jun 18th, 2009, 10:22 PM #13This is not allowed at the walmarts I have been in. They say that the one coupon is for 2 items so I can't use any more coupons for those items.Bought 2 Kellogg's cereals. Used B2S$2 on "one box", on the second box I used a
.75 Foot Loop coupon.

I am a Wal Mart cashier and as long as you have as many items as you do coupons we will accept it at my store. The above example with a B2S$2 and a $0.75 coupon would be ok. It baffles me how stores make up their own policy. There is one WM in Edmonton that will not issue rain checks even though Corporate policy states that we have to (and it is written on each and every fler printed)....
