First LD experience....didn't go so well

So I was so excited and well i am happy but a couple things went wrong

so I bought

3 scott towels for 3.49 used b3g1, 1off = 5.98
2 sb bathroom (had -3 but wouldn't let me use) b1g1 = 2.99
1 dove mist 4.49 -3.25 = 1.24
E bandages 2.99 -2 .99
Febreeze noticable kit -9 1.99
pop 1.89
glade refills (she didn't use coupons) b1g1,2 2.99

and the sad part I had b1g1 and 2 off for glade refills 6.99 x 2 =13.98
and she never used them and I got a pop for 1.89 (forgot that)

so all together it would have been 53.45 inc tax
with all coupons 18.07 inc tax total

I paid 29.72
So I lost 2 coupons, I have to get a refund for refills $15.05 and didn't get to drink my pop, ugh.............Oh well first time bad luck

The first time is always a little rough but you will get the hang of it next time. Looks like you got some pretty good deals!

When I did my first one it was only for 5 items, just to get my feet wet! I think it takes time to shop like the pros here. I'm going again tomorrow.

Make sure you watch to make sure they put all your coupons through! It will get better!

Great first job! One thing I do that helps is make sure I go through customer service. I forgot tonight and paid for it when the cashier had to double everything. I bought four items and he had to check if he could use my coupons. He said he forgot his training so I asked if he was new and he said . . . 'no, but I've never seen this many coupons' :eek:

Thanks everyone I know it was awsome deals and i did have fun and ya didn't help i was nervous and shy......but thank you all for the comments and it's a learning process!!!!

Oh dear...that's terrible...She ripped you off by about $14.00! I would go back and return it all...then try again. Did you go to the customer service desk to pay? They usually know how to handle the coupons better than the reg cashiers.

If I am understanding your post...you bought 3 Scott Paper towels...you should have been able to use the $1 off coupon x2 for each of the items you actually paid for, plus the B2G1 (not B3 as stated above I think that's a typo). So for 3 paper towels @ $3.49 reg you should have paid $4.98 for all 3...The cashier didn't understand that is what STACKING is! Also depending on your LD, some will allow coupons on the 'FREEBIE' item as long as the total of all coupons doesn't go over the price of all the items combined.

Ditto with the Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom products...they should have let you use the $3 on the item you are actually paying for, plus the BOGO. If the sale price is $2.99, then you should have gotten both for FREE.

Ditto again for the Glade refills...you bought 2 right? She should have accepted the BOGO and one of the $2 coupons. You should have only paid $4.99 total for both items.

Take it all back...you won't get your coupons back but I have extra Scott Towel coupons I can send you, a Glade BOGO, but not the $2 glade or the SB BOGO....
