    Ooh, I remember Ca-na-da, we had to sing it in elementary school. That was before my too cool for school Gr 7 teacher made us sing all Beatles songs all the time.

    I also remember Evangeline & Mon Paye c'est pas un paye c'est l'hiver (I've forgotten most of the tune & the lyrics though ).

    Anyone else grow up in Ontario in the 70s & remember this? Ontari-ari-ari-o!

    Yep, a looong time ago, back in the dark ages. It was a lovely story, but oh so sad. Sorta reminds me of "The Pilot of the Plains" by E. Pauline Johnson (http://digital.library.upenn.edu/wom...jep-pilot.html).
