Forums Suggestion: Making a thanks button

Wouldnt it be nice if there was a thanks button for deals/freebies/coupons and every other section in the forum? It would sure reduce all the Thanks in the posts, leaving only useful questions instead of going through this freebie and finding all Thanks.....

You always just hit the "up" button to thank people.

Did we all? Scrolling past TY posts is a waste of time. If the thumbs up icon does not promote enough of a feeling of closeness among the posters, maybe it could be changed to a sparkly heart icon. And/or devise a "Thanks" button that allows the topic poster (and anybody else who cares) to see the names of those who thanked him/her. Then keep the message boxes for questions and information about the topic.

When I start a new thread about something useful it really puts a smile on my face when people take the time to say thank you.

I like saying thank you's, that way if I can't rep someone again for a great post they know I still am happy with what they have done.

I'd rather go through the 'thank you' postings than the ones that over and over say only LOL and LMAO.
Regardless, this IS a happy place to be!
