LOL Cait,, his little "PEEPER" u crack me up. Take care, :)
You just rest up, Cait and don't worry about us...it's all about you and Toby now...we can wait (impatiently ;-).....and "peeper"...lol...I've never heard that one before but it's too cute! Must tell our DD....Jack's 1 and is quite fascinated with his right now...lol!!
lol, yup. Peeper is the main word in this house. Not too far off from the real thing, so it is aceptable. I was raised with calling the female anatomy "penu". That screwed me up badly! hahah
Im happy to hear everything is going good!! Ca
hope it all goes well, cant wait to see pictures. :)
Caitfoster hope every goes well! Just remember to eat as much as you can before you hit the hospital!!!! When I was induced they would not let me eat till the baby was born!!
I'm glad you checked in :) Glad to hear you finally have a diagnosis. Just take care of you and Toby. SC can wait!!
fingers and toes crossed. Only a few more days
New check in.
Went to hospital again just as requested 8am for induction. They took my blood and a Non Stress Test, and the nurses kept gearing me up for my induction.
Well noon rolls around and the internist (my OBs consult. You need an extra consult for things like this) tells me that my epilipsy meds are not in high enough levels in my body so I again can't get induced. (This is the third promise for my induction that has been broken).
So of course I break down again. This has been going on for six weeks now and I am too mentally frail to do this again, but I have been reschedualed for the FOURTH time next Wensday for an induction. And they are saying "definatly this time." Well, how can I believe that when they have said that exact same thing all the other times.
I am tired of all of this, and they said "Well, you can come back if you aren't feeling mentally strong enough." As I am sobbing and vomiting from crying so hard. What should I go back for? So they can keep me for another 12 hours only to send me home??? And the councilors at the hospital are terrible. They come in, ask you irrevelent questions, usually 3-5 and don't suggest anything you should do or to let you talk about how you are feeling.
I HATE this hospital. I am thinking I am going to take off to Sudbury or Toronto where I will get proper care. And to top this all off, I had to walk through a HUGE crowd of people (like 20) doing the prenatal tour of the ward while bawling my eyes out. And all the nurses are saying "Oh, everyone feels this way at the end of their pregnancy." I am so sick of hearing that because my pregnancy has been pure hell. I just want to kick everyone in the teeth that says that. Even DH is getting mad at people saying that. He snapped on someone today who said that to him, and dropped the F-bomb at them.
I can relate. With my daughter I sat on the induction list for nearly 2 weeks(I had a condition where you itch head to toe. I would itch even in my sleep. I was bleeding everywhere, it was awful!). Every morning I'd call OB and ask them if I could come in today for my induction and every morning they'd say I wasn't a priority and maybe tomorrow. I cried every morning because of it. I felt like nobody understood the agony I was going through (imagine telling an itchy pregnant woman she's not a priority!) My doc had promised me it was going to happen so I had no f/u. Finally, I called and got an appt with my doc the next day. I told her if she didn't induce me that day I would walk out of this room and throw myself in front of a bus-then they'd have to take her out! I had brought my mom along so she could yell if needed. My doc walked down to L&D and next thing you know I was being induced! So I feel for you, I know how awful it is to be waiting to be induced.
Hang in there. Better to wait a bit and have a good outcome then to rush into things and have things spiral out of control. Maybe you'll go into labour naturally before then anyways. Soon it will all be over. Just keep telling yourself, it can't go on forever! Pregnancy has a 100% cure rate!
Insane, that is so funny since I told DH before I even read your post that I was going to throw myself in front of a bus.
And what makes it even more fantastic is the fact that my dad is comming from Mongolia on the 26th. We planed it so that he could meet his first grandchild. He has to go back two days later, a day before I am suposed to be induced. That also makes me so mad.
Cait, I'm so sorry about all the troubles you're having with the hospital. It sounds like people need to communicate a little better in there. And, 12 hours is definately excessive to hold someone in for before sending them home.
We are thinking of you always and hoping that things go well when they do happen :sweet:
best wishes and all god can do for you......just remember on a lighter note....take a roll of tp from home cause the stuff in the hospitals is like sandpaper....not much we can do but wish you the best and wait.....just think of the guilt trip you can pull on Toby when older and you need something done....GOD BLESS...on behalf of all of us were prayin for ya
Unfortunatly the geology business waits for no man, including my father. This is the first BIG event in my life he has been able to sneak away from his job for. He couldn't make it to my wedding either, so you can see why this is such a big deal to me.
Also, it's really silly because they could just give me an anitepiliptic drug via IV, but instead they would rather keep wasting resources and my time by having me come in every two or three days to see if my epiliptic meds are in high enough doses and keep me there for hours on end without food before sending me home. This could all be done in two hours to get me to theraputic levels, but this hospital doesn't do simple things, it likes to make everything tough, and honestly, as one of my friends said, you have to either be dying from a gun shot wound or holding your baby's head inbetween your legs before they will ever seriously act on your behalf.
